Thanks for the reply bro, I too suspect LCD is the culprit.. I don't think there is board shorting as I was able to see the screen contents when I saw it under torch and I was able to shut it down by using touchscreen. Similarly I can feel vibration when I put it on charge..

Any idea of price of lcd panel? I plan to go to hall road and purchase lcd and replace myself..

IMPORTANT: lcd light didn't went away suddenly but first when tab was slapped (like we do with tv remote) and light used to turn back on ... again after sometime it went and again slapping used to bring it back but now it doesn't

It's basically an LCD, not a donkey, that it will keep running with "mar kuttai". LCD is so fragile that a little bit of wrong pressing while installation could also damage it.

LCD backlight is faulty as already told and glass is also broken. Both can be replaced separately, but risky and not very cost saving over full lcd replacement. No exact idea, but it should be 3-4k.

Metal sheet > backlight > LCD > Digitizer > Glass

Either full coverage like the one in above link that also covers the 2.5D curved glass (recommended) or simple ones that cover the screen upto 2.5D curved glass (does not cover the curved edges).

I also bought few full coverage glass protectors previously from the same link for Xiaomi and they were awesome.

Got the new lcd replace from Dany plaza hall road.. 1500 for lcd and 200 replacement charges... still much better than Huawei service center which charges 7k+ for this task

Perfect. Hall Road is best place for reasonable prices.

The same in Hafeez Plaza would have no less than 3k atleast.

Service centres are always like that, not feasible in rates, and also if you are willing to pay them insanely high price, they will still take around 3-5 days atleast for the task that was done in 15-30 minutes at 1/3 to 1/4 price in front of you.
