I was talking about battery replacement. Xiaomi service centres are even more expensive than Huawei. Huawei still charges reasonable compared to others.
For saving money, service centres are no go to begin with, like car stealerships.
Ask them to connect lcd panel temporarily and within a minute, you will know. Multimeter, or they have machine for board testing. Get it checked through it. Do you have multimeter or clamp meter at home? You can check board yourself too. There are many easy YouTube demos for it. It's easy i can assure you

Sorry for too late reply I have been out of touch due to office work. Tab is laying around since then, Yes I have multimeter UNI-T 203 at home and will try to test with it.

@s15 bro yesterday I plugged charger in my tab after almost 40 days and noticed vibration which means it was charging fine. There are 2 issues which need attention

1. Its touch is cracked at many places but works just fine. (afraid of replacing it as once replace touch of my mobile and it again and again used to pop out )
2. Screen backlight is no more so either needs change of display panel or some fix at board.

Things I tried. I opened it up and re-tightened the ribbon cables in their places and tried giving some heat with hear drier

But still no use... Huawei center is charging huge amount therefor I plan to take it to either hall road or hafeez center but afraid someone will rip me off, so if you or someone can guide me to some good honest and affordable shop then it would be wonderful.

Battery timings MI Max 2 after miui 9. Loving miui 9 though I'm not a great fan of custom skins. It's providing very fluid performance, great ram management ( not as great as a stock Android with 4gb ram would give) and much better battery life.
Edit : sot screenshot is not being uploaded so let me make it clear, total sot at that time was around 8 hours

Lcd panel replacement will hopefully resolve the issue.

Board shorting check test with DMM. Board should be fine. Takes 1 minute to check.

Additional accesories rarely fetch good value even if branded, most people are like, in k baghair hi de do.

Putting up separate ad for extra accesories help.

The typical Pakistani mentality is, on any phone whether budget or a 1 lac flagship, Rs. 100/- worth transparent case (which they never change no matter how yellow and dirty it gets) and Rs. 100/- worth glass protector (which is pretty much scratched up or peeling off), but they never replace.

The worst type of phone covers are the very famous breathable type, which usually have a lot of tiny holes for ventilation. They trap a lot of dust in it, which scratches back side pretty bad.

I hate screen protectors for this very reason, i only use "jelly" ones to prevent scratches. Also i find cases like otterbox funny. Whats the point in getting a high quality phone. Lol.
