You ordered the battery & lcd from AliExpress means these kinda basic and integral replacement parts are not available in our market? Or was it to get an original part through AliExpress?
Plus what’s your verdict on Note 5 Pro?

Both LCD and battery are available 100% original part from Mi service center. However AliExpress sells cheap LCD units wih frame. Battery price is almost the same

Xiaomi warranty is Almost zero in Pakistan
What i have learned is that their Terms and conditions are such that u r only left with software warranty so it’s useless and they ask for repair charges which are considerably high and u have to leave ur mobile for some days with them which I don’t consider safe
So i get the parts from AliExpress and get them changed in front of me

Yes, Nokia and Blackberry are owned by HMD and TCL respectively; both Chinese Companies. The Nokia 6 is "Made in China".

I personally haven't heard any 'horror stories' regarding Xiaomi. But of course; there are few bad 'apples' in every bunch (No pun intended!) but in case of Xiaomi; they're few and far between.

Thing is; most most global variants of Xiaomi Phones use Qualcomm Chips which are usually "Made in USA". While Chinese and Indian variants often use Mediatek Chips which is a Taiwanese company.

In Pakistan, Xiaomi is selling its global variants with Qualcomm hardware. So, apart from display, speakers, cameras and few other minor tidbits, the rest of the phone is American!

More American than iPhones, I'd say!

Your Mi vs Redmi logic; while convincing, is purely... Sensational, overblown and downright misleading!

Xiaomi Phones used to be crap like Huawei but now... They've upped their game; and their mid-range phones are solid. Except S2 which is a low-end phone and is EXTREMELY overpriced here and hence people mistake it for a mid-range phone. It's 100% plastic!

So... Cheap Xiaomis are crap, but so are most cheap phones (Try bending a Qmobile or... An iPhone 6)! Whereas Xiaomi's mid-range used to be crap (Like Note 3) but now, it's been fixed.

Note 4 and Note 5 platforms have proven themselves to be tough and sturdy as seen in dozens of torture test videos on YouTube.

Anyhow, I'm not a teenager. I'm nearly 30 and have a job. They basically pay me for sitting in front of a computer in an air conditioned room so I've a TON of free time!

And another thing is; I suffer from ADHD. And in case you're wondering; ADHD is a disorder that makes it difficult for a person to pay attention and control impulsive behaviors. So, I'm a restless soul and almost constantly active, even in my sleep!

There's a reason I open multiple tabs in my browser, all having different topics. Right now, I'm tweeting on Twitter, watching YouTube, posting here and reading news on BBC. All at the same time because I can't focus on one thing for extended periods.

What can I say? I'm different...

in app info, note the version you have and try downloading some other version (newer or older) from "apk mirror" website.

for the following apps:

i. google
ii. google play services
iii. google playstore (though playstore updates are stable mostly, don't if your's isn't crashing)

clear app data for these too after updating as its structure may conflict between versions, it'll rebuild itself automatically.

I've an infinix hot 2 for tinkering (android one device, lots of roms) and I made a twrp backup last year with all fixes integrated into system partition of original rom.

Please quote ur personal experience?? How many Xiaomi u have owned ? Instead of posting this YouTube videos which in my opinion are just a source of income for posters and are sponsored and in reality they are of no use. If u want to see reviews that are close to reality then see the comments of actual owners of these phones below these videos and also on Gsmarena in opinions section of every mobile. Apart from this i am again saying that I literally praise Xiaomi for price to performance ratio as well as for their amazing MIUI and additional features such as IR etc my only concern after buying 4 Xiaomi REDMI sets myself (actually using 02 myself 01 by my family member and 01 sold unused) is the idiotic hardware quality they use in Redmi sets.
Bhai agar aap ke hath se mobile giray ya koi aur abuse ho tou samajh aata hai mobile ka kharab hona. Aap raat ko behtreen chalta mobile rakh ker soein aur subha set dead ho tou ghussa tou aae ga na. Ya pocket se nikalein aur suddenly screen kam kerna chor day ya charging board despite using original charger only and timely taking off the mobile after charging bhi kharab ho tou bura tou lagta hai!!! And not only me some of my relatives reporting headphones connection issue in new redmi Note 5??? Same headphones issue is presently prevailing in my family member Redmi note 4x. And in order to repair both of my home redmi note 4x i have to specially take out a day may be on coming weekend. I am again saying that i own iPhone 6s which has its own charm but Xiaomi mobile is having its own very effective uses.
I am not supporting Apple but about 1.5month back I dropped my iPhone in flush and I literally washed it twice thoroughly to make it PAK with minimum care. And instead of getting damaged i am very pleased to say that i see some improvements in the mobile such as clear voice quality from earpiece as well as speaker due to cleaning of blocked holes through water. I don’t say that all of u should start washing your iphones but i can bet that if it would have been Xiaomi or any other brand set (not declared waterproof ( IP RATING) ) it woukd have been dead the same time or atleast it would have carried some defect like i did same with my nexus 4 and got screen damaged a little bit.
