Well, sure. I don't think any lower mid-range phone (<30k) has optical image stabilization, something the G5 possess. Same goes to laser auto-focus, which I think is only found on LG flagships (Not entirely sure).
But apart from that, the Realme 5 isn't all that far behind, even in the camera department. Take a look at this low-light camera sample, where so called 'mid-rangers' are supposed to quote/unquote "Struggle":
The Realme 5 appears to have a better gain sensor. Notice the detail and sharpness, especially around the text. The difference is night and day, no compassion. And also notice the lack of noise, even though the samples were taken with ISO 1600 on Realme 5 vs. ISO 350 on G5.
The R5 has some seriously impressive ISO sensitivity. Most phones struggle beyond ISO ~600 and show a TON of noise but this phone's camera is happy even well beyond ISO 1000.
In day light photography, both phones are pretty much neck and neck, which isn't all that surprising as ISO plays a minor role in daylight.
Anyhow, I'm sure this little sample will put the 'old flagship = better camera' rumors to rest!
Don't buy a beat-up flagship when you can buy a brand new phone with 6.5" display, a 5,000mAh battery, an 11nm processor and a freaking quad-camera setup at the back with remarkable optics and sensors!
