Specs wise realme looks good but how is the build quality when comparing with mi phones of same price range?

Realme's build quality is comparable to its sister brands i.e Oppo, Vivo and OnePlus. Take a look:

Sure, you won't get a glass or metalic build with the R5 but Realme has made no compromises on structrual rigidity.

Thats some serious homework, accepted but again for the budget he has and my own experience, he wont be able to get anything used in the new mid range line plus thre r always decent deals everywhre and he can surely get something better and value for money. Realme 5 looks good but does note 8 pro hav the same stuff?

For just 8k more, you're getting a phone that's better in almost all imaginable aspects, apart from pixel density of the display and build material.

5.4" vs. 6.5" display. 2,800mAh vs. 5,000mAh battery. dual vs. quad cameras. used vs. brand new with warranty. Android 9.0 vs. Android 7.1 OS.

List goes on and on...

The G5 will be a temporary phone and in an year or two he'll start experience battery drain issues IF he's lucky, whereas the R5 will last him a long LONG time.

You get what you pay for, my dear friend!

hi i am looking for xperia XZ Premium either brand new or in 10/10 condition and specifically in RED color. if some one knows where i may find one in pak please tell me along with its price. importing it is not feasible as it is going to cost around RS70k without PTA registration.

From karachi and through a very close source. A colleagues uncle (sagga maamoo) owns a shop in karachi and i did all the dealing through him. I wad worried about the price tag too but according to him, the phon costs around 110-115k type and some 30-35k tax on top for single sim PTA approval but he told me to pay 15k xtra for e-sim PTA approval which i didnt do as my mom doesnt use dual sim plus didnt hav more cash

thanks for your suggestions but i have been using Sony since 2012 and i basically love them upto and till xz premium after this they have ruined the designing of xperia line. and specially xz premium in red is an eye catching device i hope to find it locally just for the sake of it plus performace wise it is not that bad as in speed test it was faster than s8 plus note 8 and one plus 5 mayb just in case i am not able to find one i will go for note series or iphone
