Its all depends upon your usage n your priority. like, i dont like bigger display, no notch fan, no multiple camera setup fan. even i am very happy with iphone 4s or 5 camera. never use selfie cameras. dont mind if there isnt any fingerprint scanner. All i see a better builtin quality, light weight, bigger battery, type c YES, if its android. atleast 32gb rom n 3 or 4 gb ram. no notch fan but happy to get any phone with thin bezels.
Only the reason i sharer wat i do n dont like because you can also think about what is necessary for you or you will be using in future. because 30-40k is a very decent range to spend even more then 2 years bro. I bought nexus phone back in 2013 and used it till 2018. in 2018 i felt that its time to upgrade. and that phone never let me down.
