4- Iphone 4 ( the gavey sim one , which`ll be in my budget if the phone is for 36-37k )

First,i'd say HD2.Then Desire HD.But DHD has no match.So if you can afford DHD then its best.Sense 3.5 already ported to DHD which is cool.
For Windows 7 phones,i'd say HTC 7 Mozart or HD7 are best.

Yar i knida like the HD2 for its xda support ! i love playing with androids . But the design of HD2 is kinda old . DHD has battery related issues i heared ! . I was leaning towards the Iphone 4 .
I used my brothers iphone 4 for a few days and kinda liked it . IOS is a good platform to play around with

1-) buddy i would strongly suggest that you try not to root or install a custom rom on the Galaxy S . i9000 is one of those android phones which you can brick easily ! .
I would suggest having it done from someone who knows what is he doing ! . If you can visit karachi , i`ll gladly help you out in rooting and installing custom roms

2-) What firmware you are on ? i am on XXJVO . It gives me around 36 hours of battery time with a heavy usage . Install a custom Rom like Galnet MIUI / Darky`s Rom , which will give you a good battery time . But will lack some features as compared to the stock Rom .
I was on Galnet MIUI a few days back , beautiful ROM i must say . Gave me 2.5 days of a battery timings , but it lacked camera features + FM radio

3-) Use handcent SMS , highly customizable and good on memory as well .

There is a tethered jailbreak available for the 4.3.5 . But you`ll have to run a small process every time you restart the phone .

The jailbreak is very easy to do . I recently jail broken my brothers iphone 4 ( 4.3.5 ) . Search Redsnow 4.3.5 in youtube . Youll see the process there
