If i install unofficial version of ics on my Amaze, will the battery performance improve?

Yes it will increase the battery life and performance too some roms allow you to under clock your processor which save battery too. But you have to follow each and every step very precisely other wise you would end up bricking your phone

i wouldnt suggest you go for one x without warranty, there are just too many problems that can come later on.

no i meant the one x. there are alot of problems, wifi issues, screen issues etc. but its an excellent set if its working properly.

It's no more there flag ship to phone as its fail to impress people, lg is always slow to put updates on there phone and this time they will put all there effort on optimus G. I might be wrong Google it for more conformation
