There are two tablets which are ruling the market nowadays and are in your budget.
1) Asus Nexus 7 (2012)
2) Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (2014)

They both are of 7"

1) Asus Nexus 7 retails for 25ish K
2) Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 retails for 20K

My suggestion is that go for Tab 4.

HP Slate 10 is available but at a very high price.

My little sis who is studying medicine wants a tab to somewhat replace the laptop. You can general use like: reading books, documents, light games and able to run videos.
We can increase budget to 30k if the tab is worth it.
I saw huawei ad today for mediapad series. But apart from screen size and minor differences i cant seem to relate why there is large price difference between different models whereas specs of those models are almost same

If you can extend your budget till 30K
Then go for Ipad Mini.

BTW what will you do of warranty.
I'll get the Slate 10 If I could even without Warranty.

But for your requirements,
The all new Tab 4 or the Asus Nexus 7 would be more than enough.

Remember that the Asus Nexus 7 is the best 7" tab. It's even better than the Ipad IMO.

When you have better Tabs available at the same price, then why would you go for a mediocre one? :S

Check lenovo YOGA tab its 8 inc, built quality is awsome. Just grab it in ur hand and u will forget asus. A friend has a asus and another friend just bought lenovo and lenovo looks kool with all metal design. I think it costs 21-22k just look at it rest is ur own decision

I looked it up and it is great! now where do you i buy it? i mean any reliable dealer where warranty can be claimed in case something goes wrong and who can give me best price of course

On mega.pk lenovo yoga and tab 4 8.0 are almost same price(2.5k difference), shouldn't tab4 8.0 be better choice if price difference is this small? Also according to site, tab 4 has kitkat 1.5GB ram and a snapdragon! only camera is lesser

Well the internet reviews for lenovo yoga are not that great, in fact nexus 7 is preferred over yoga by critics

Confused between HTC one x and Sony Xperia Sp
I have used one x 2 years back when it was a flagship mobile for HTC but considering the price back then 50 k it wasn't that impressive apart from looks now at 21 to 22 k it looks like a good purchase
Personally I like Sony more than HTC infact not a fan of HTC at all
But according to sites Xperia Sp camera result is not that good
And it is my main concern

It means that It would get timely upgrades, and It's a very capable machine.
It would get the next android upgrade before the other tabs.

The most Important thing Is that It has the best hardware which a tab could offer at a very competitive price

Well i am inclined more towards tab 4 because its 8", but yes if i can get good price from nexus 7 i might go for that. Can you suggest me some shops?
