CG 125 Classic, can't do more then 95 km/hr!>?

Well all you guys your input is really going to be helpful on this one, my bike, a 2011 model, done 1450 km mileage in total can't do more then 95(with difficulty) on a level road. I had its oil changed twice at 500 kms and 1350 kms and has been tuned one time. Any idea why this is as it is ???

I've a detailed talk many times with the head of Customer care department of Atlas Honda ( Mr.Tasleem Shuja )
I've had almost 20 CG125 bikes since 2010 and on every bike i test their top speed..... my personal experience is very simple..... Some bikes are been assembled in such a perfect manner that they provide u 100% of their performance since their first day, no matter if u change oil or tune them up......

Well coming to the issue of top speed, Mr Tasleem Shuja told me that As per ministry of interior notification AHL is stricted to reduce it's bikes top speed specially 125cc's, therefore they have installed a Accelerator trip ( or a thing like that which trip down the accelerator on 9000RPM ) So bike can hardly achieve 90 or 95 at it's best .......... This thing is approved in owners manual's now also....... latest editions of owners manual clearly tell the maximum speed of bike = 95Km/h

Hmmm.....@khanthegr8, now that is something to ponder upon, but some guys with the same model like 2010 and 11 as well can really take the bike to 100 km/hr but one thing I noticed that they had been run 5000 kms plus. believe me mera har bike per speed test lazmi hota hai, kuch bikes start per hi best chalti hain, lohay ki dhalayi itni fine hoti hai kuch bikes ki, fitting zabardast hoti hai, bike me vibration nahi hoti bilkul bhi........... also @khanthegr8 what specific component/technique they use to limit its speed,, is it mechanical or electrical?i think just swaping that will de restrict it,,
heard somewhere cdi units control the revs,,
after altering my dhoom i just once touched 100km/hr on straight road,, and even then there was a lot of power in it,, but the heck wont go past that,, i even changed the sprocket and cant do it,, mechanic was amazed after testing it,, he said it should cross 100 every time,, but alas not so,,, i thought there may be some sort of limiting device there,,this question was on my mind ever since,, so tomorrow i will check my bike after some more additions for top speed and have the mechanics say on that as well as this 125 issue,, think some restriction is there..

har owner manual ke last per ek paper hota hai jisme users opinion manga jata hai but unfortunately nobody fill that, usay fill kar ke post karo to AHL se call ati hai wo apse apka issue pochte hain unhe batao apni complain lock karwao or suggestion do.......
unfortunately hamari govt se halaat to control nahi hote in ke pas oot patang pabandi lagane ke ilawa koi hal nahi hota....... tasleem shuja tells ministry of interior boht strict hai ke 125 ki top speed kam ki jaye but ministry forgot ke log modification se wo sab kar sakte hain jo company nahi kar rahi...

Im nt sure if the ministry of interior **** is a self generated myth as an excuse for low quality bikes AHL is producing or truth..?

125s top speed is already v.low... Why didnt ministry put a Ban on Suzuki GS150 and Ravi Piaggios? they go 120+ ??? And are cheaper than CG to buy if getting a used one!

What i knw is dat OHV engines with push rods arent good at maintaining proper valve timing at high RPMs which results in alot of vibrations and low top speeds + alot of fuel is wasted and drunked at high speeds and full throttle operations...

OHC engines however are much finer.. but a lil expensive to build.
CD70 is OHC and CG125 is OHV

The earlier models of 125 also didnt go above 100? Even when Paksitans condition was much stable? However 98.99 model 125 are another story... nw i dnt knw even those had better top speeds or quick speedo meters? lol

One thing is sure that CG125 with this push rod system is nt capable of going beyond this speed! as its quality is no more the same now, the sound no more the same, and its just capable of one damn thing!!

I disagree about 95 km/h speed limit. My 2008 cg125 easily does 105 km/h with a pillion rider and full 120km/h when I am alone. My cousin got a cg125 in April 2011. His bike seems to have way more pick than mine. And we both flat out at 120km/h. I think how we treat our bike makes a difference. I see fools who start their bikes and rev the engine hard and go zooming away. They dont even allow the engine oil to properly circulate and lubricate the engine. I always run my bike at low RPMs for about 5 minutes before I go throttle crazy. I think this gives better engine life and performance. Also avoid to get your bike tuned from Honda 5s or 3s dealers. They are very inexperienced (generally) compared to our local ustaads. There was a time when I used to get my bike tuned from Honda 5s and bike wouldnt go beyond 95 km/h. I tried everything. I even thought that maybe my meter is broken and cannot show beyond 95. But then my friend recommended me his ustaad. Believe me bike is now easily touching 100km/h and doing full meter if I get a good stretch of road.

on some weekends I go with my cousin to GT road. And we visit river chenab or river jhelum. On that road one can easily achieve and maintain 120km/h speed

My friend has 2010 CG125 2010.. mene wo kafi chalai wo and maximum 95 tak gaya hun mai level road par.. but koi vibration nai hui.. and yeah mere 1 frnd k pas GS150 hai and wo mai 110 par le kar gaya hun...
