CG-125 Euro II 2013 Problem in Murree

On high altitude the air pressure reduces and the Air+fuel mixture gets rich (Petrol is too much for the air). you have to make the mixture leaner (reduce the petrol and increase air supply) either by; 1. using hi-octane fuel (because higher octane fuels take more time to burn than lower octane fuel, the fuel will burn slower and the engine will be okay with less air/oxygen).2. It is hard to find Hi-octane fuel in hilly areas so the other option is to reduce the supply of petrol by tightening the the mixture screw and for that you'll have to i. Rotate the IDLE SPEED screw clockwise until the RPM get a little higher (like 3000) and the engine does not turn off. ii. Now rotate the MIXTURE screw clockwise until the RPM is back to normal (like 1500).Now, you will have reduced the supply of petrol and the mixture should be leaner.This is best to my knowledge. yes you are right in saying that petrol is in excess amount ...but i am not sure how the cg carb should be adjusted .. however what you should look to correct it is to reduce the fuel supply in all the circuits .. slow.middle.high.reducing the supply at low rpm . use the idle screw .. in cg i think turning it in should reduce the amount of petrol and should do the job.for middle cirucut you will need another pilot jet which is hard to find .. so just skip it .. and rely on just lowerng the needle in its c clip .. for hihg speed adjustment just go down 2 digits on main jet .. or may be 4 digits...but most important when you reach normal area back . then reset all adjustments to stock .it takes just few seconds to reset the air screw . and 2-3 minutes to reset the needle. if i do main jet swap . then i do it at home and then ride towards wild wild murree. and as long as i m on normal area and swaped main jet i dont use the high rpm range .. yani agar mixture lean karna ka lia main jet chotay orffice wala lagay ha to takreeban bharakou tak ma speed 60kmphr tak hi raktha hou.. kionka full spped pa bike overheat ho jathi ha .. and mixture is lean .hope this helps..

AoA Friends...i am having some critical issue regarding my newly bought CG125 bike (may be critical for me) because i am not going to judge what is going wrong? I was heading to Islamabad from kamra and i experience some missing issue after running some 35KM. The bike started to switch off as if petrol is in its last level (looks like some kachra in the petrol or any other thing). I again started it, rode for 2-3 min but again it switched off giving no response (delay in accelerator and not picking petrol). i just turned towards the local mechanic and told him the problem, he just checked the spark plug and tightened the coil wires (he told me that coil wires under the tank were loose). I began to off-road but same issue. so, i just turned the petrol knob from On position to "Reserve" position and it was as smooth as before. going good but when i was changing petrol knob position from reserve to ON, it was creating the same issue. Please help in this regard. this is my first Cg and i am not much aware of that.
One thing that two weeks before i just got it tuned from Honda service center in kamra after 1000km (first tuning) and after that tuning it is behaving like this.

well dear dont be disappointed as euro tech is differ from normal 125 as its mention above that its a mixtura type issue they have sifferent setting for different altitude in euro ur setting is done according to plain so dear my suggestion to you to let it be make sure ur setting is done for optimum performance some time bike do it because of setting done keeping economy in mindif you are a frequent tourer make a rich mixture setting and say good bye to normal millage its all up to ur preference

bro @imarshad its not a issue an as on height of murree's mountains the oxygen is not present in an heavy amount because it is an heavy gas your bike was missing because the amount of oxygen your bike needs was not available

I want to ask you a question @asjdsm

me alon @dr.omair and @angel82 were visiting hilly areas last week on bikes we were riding a 2012 paiggio(me), and a GS150 (dr.omair) and a brand new 2014 piaggio (angel82) ...

we cruised as high as 116kmh on new paiggio and as I am using a Big sprocket I hardly manged to reach 106~108KM/h speed on GT road long lonely streches where as GS150 happily reved upto 120km/h ...

1 - But as soon as we reached Islamabad and above even on long downhill straight streches of road our paiggios were unable to go above 90~95km/h and GS was struggling to cross 100km/h barrier

2 - Bikes stoped Idling and tend to stall as soon as we stop.

3 - Felt they were over heating many times even not using hard.

4 - Petrol Consumptions was duely noted to be increased.

What can be the Issue We were totally not able to catch the problem...

simple .. as soon as you cross bharakou just lower the needle in its clip..
(i.e. raise the c clip in the given grooves . move it to top groove .. or second last one .. )

this will lean the mixture and you will get complete burn of fuel.. as in stock settings at that altitutde the ratio of petrol is too much then it should be .

rejettning will give more torquey response but i dont know what jets suite yours..

i always rejet my bike else it would just stall there..

I did lean it but no improvement noticed, but as soon as we were out of the rainy hill bikes were back in business.

on cg125 carb the mixture screw is in the path of petrol line and screwing it in creates constriction in petrol flow hence leaning the mixture.

I did that by adjusting the needle lower, the mixture screw is in such place that the self motor is there and the smallest screw driver I have cannot approach it .... but after leaning it no much effect was notice, out put remained same..

Main jet waha per khulwana was not possible, there must be small totka to switc b/w rich and lean settings or some thing... I also heard from some people who regularly visit those areas that the keep their bike more rich then in normal condition to use bikes complete power band and secondly they also told me that by keeping it rich bike donot over heats ... that makes me even more confuse lol

I recently visited nathiagali , and had same issues you are describing here. it was awfull when climbing ayubia , any solution to these issues ?

If em not wrong whenever you start climbing an inclined (mountain) the gravitational force of earth keep on increasing and more you climb more you have to exert power, more fuel your vehicle will take in order to climb against that gravitational force. No matter how calm you keep your vehicle while climbing the speed of heating of bike is increased as compared to normal surface due to increased gravitational force... You can test this by measuring your weight in lahore and in Muree or any northen area ....

Feul rich ker k bike chalani perti hai secondly air filter ka aik layer foam ya completly foam utarny say bike khul ker saans leti hai ... its the solution... air pressure is low there so needs more easy way to breath so removing foam really helps (I onbly got these advices have to put them on test next tour inshAllah!)

It's 100% stock ,nothing is changed, not even the horn

Change the stock plug. Get a good quality NGK Simple or Platinum one.

No I haven't visited Murree again.... Maybe sometime in the next couple of weeks I might go there again just to check if it happens again but I am sure it will happen again as it has happened two out of two times... Just as a side note I have taken my GS-150 to Murree, Ayubia and Neelum valley (at 10,000+ feet) above sea level and it performed brilliantly but I am not too sure about my CG-125 and specially this Euro 2 model.
