CG125 Oil foam filter or not

Should i oil the filter of CG125 or not ?

It is written in the manual that dip it in 90 grad gear oil and than extract excess oil.

I used to oil it when brought new with local oil sold on car workshops but in winters that oil becoming too hard on filter with cold, and engine wasnt breathing properly and making plug black.

So from then i didnt put oil on it and it became fine.

Now im not oiling it since 6 months. I clean in after 30 days 600 KM.
My area is city not too clean or too dusty.

Check the condition of Carburetor intake by once oiling the filter and once by using it dry. Then take decision.
BTW the right way is to oil the filter with 90 grade gear oil and then place filter on some absorbant cloth and press it to remove the unwanted oil.
That khula gear oil you are talking about is usually 140 grade..

yeh i did inspect the condition of intake with and without oil, it is always clean.

also if i open carb after 3-4 months for cleaning, it is always super clean.

I brought the normal oil which the shops keep in drums, is that too 140 grade ?

According to my observation yes they keep 140 grade gear oil in drums mostly.
If that was engine oil in drum then can't say anything about that...
