I'm from karachi and my car got stolen back in 2018. But on visiting Karachi traffic police official app and searching traffic violation chalans based on number plates I saw a paid challan in 2024 even though car is still stolen and fir is still valid and excise still shows cplc and safe custody not clear . What should be done in this scenario.
Follow it up through cplc for place where challenge was paid . You may be able to recover car. Most probably car has been sold to an innocent person who doesn't have knowledge about stolen status
obtain details of challan via cplc, there must a cnic, driving license and a mobile no mentioned / connected to that payment. start the chase.
Yup luckily instead of driving licence that person gave his cnic at the time of chalan and I got his cnic number also that app shows location of the chalan . Police also sent me his picture to identify but sadly after that there has been no updates from police .
Or it could be that just the number plates are being used on a different car
