Is it a justifiable decision to change from Changan Alsvin 1.5 Lumiere to Toyota Yaris Hatchback (JDM) 1.0

It will be a downgrade for you. Sedan to hatchback and yaris 1.0 have very poor acceleration.
You will be very annoyed in Yaris/Vitz 1.0 after driving Alsvin 1.5

That makes sense, I am considering the economy and all, Alsvin is wonderful car , no doubt. Just bit bored of it sometimes .

Compare parts prices as well. Fuel economy alone shouldn't be your exchange decision.
You should consider total ownership cost.

Compare OEM prices of parts which are routinely changed like
Oil filter
Air filter
Fuel filter
Spark plugs
Coolant (Toyota vs Changan OE coolants)
Transmission fluid (Toyota CVT vs Chanagan DCT fluids)

Also remember small engines are fuel efficient in city only. On motorway, bigger engines have better fuel economy.

Alsvin is wonderful car , no doubt. Just bit bored of it sometimes .

if this is the reason, Vitz 1.0 will feel like you are on the top of the pyramid of boredome : )

the only positive point of Vitz over Alsvin is that it is made by Toyota Japan and presumably would have longer engine and parts life than Alsvin.
