I've never faced knocking of any sort. Maybe fuel quality is a factor to be considered here.

All DCTs are jerky at low speeds, they can never be as smooth as a conventional torque-converter auto or CVT. Even BMW have these problems, so this is not something that is a fault of Changan.

Brakepad issues? If you're talking about the crappy braking, then I suggest to change the tyres. The stock tyres are absolutely pathetic when it comes to grip. They will wheelspin on the slightest amount of throttle when starting off, something that shouldn't happen in a 100 hp car lol.

Wanted to share with you a picture and a video with a brief narrative on my experience. Would like to have your review and feedback.

It's the driver side door inner side of Alsvin 1.5 Lum. Model is April 2022. Its 1140 on the ODO. Yesterday took it for FFI and the dealership service men filled it up with a paint brush aka kalam! I have that video as well.

I noticed an attempt by a PW team member to compare warranties being offered by different manufacturers. The comparison made is over simplistic. It is best that detailed comparisons are made.

I noticed that Kia offers a 48 month anti perforation and paint warranty on Sportage (mentioned on warranty booklet). Changan only offers 1 year body and paint warranty (again mentioned on booklet), which is incomprehensible and tells us a lot about the quality of product being offered. Most of us customers are laymen in these terms and I've seen people being amazed on presumed 'good' quality of body frame of Alsvin in comparison with City and Yaris. They have mastered this assessment merely by knocking on the doors and bonnet

So would it be correct to say what has been said in this thread before by certain contributor(s) that Changan's offering a 'teen dabba'.....??

But again suzuki declared a loss of 46 crores despite selling altos like anything.

And ofcourse localization , i remember in one of the interviews the toyota indus ceo or someone said that everything you see touch and feel is manufactured in pakistan. How much of localization is toyota indus doing compared to other carmakers. How much of the profit they are making/

I think the localization that Toyota doing is still not enough. Vehicle cost will significantly reduce if engine and transmission localization starts. Rest of the parts are like peanuts when compared to these two major components

recently noticed a similar gap on the underside of my brand new aspire, they did not even bother to use a qalam... atleast your dealership filled it up....

That's exactly the feedback I was looking for. I have atm consumed myself in assessing how big an issue it is and that's why I've been comparing anti-perforation and paint warranties. In your opinion, don't you think that 1 year warranty on these counts against the overall 4 year/100k KMs warranty is incomprehensible? And doesn't it indicate concerns about longevity of the body frame?
