Dont know about brand presence, resale, etc but their mini van looks promising against everything else in the market. And I remember on the launch day the guy was really aggresive when someone compared it to the suzuki Bolan.

But yes it all comes down too, how many people would actually buy it.

I've seen quite a lot of these in Lahore. I don't understand why new entrants don't go aggressively out on marketing and targeting campaigns tbh, are they that resource constrained?In a country that has only seen 3 brands for decades you have to seriously reach out to people far and wide to get them to know about you.

I quoted verbatim a Changan dealership owner in Karachi. His words were the launch is in July end or August. He seemed pretty confident about this. But God knows how truthful the news is, or Master motors changed their plan.

Good to know BUT Alsvin is available only with two frontal airbags in markets outside Pakistan like in Middle East. Maybe we get two only as well. Let's see.

Yes, so far I've only seen the Chinese variant to pack 6 airbags. It is quite plausible that the Pakistan version would be similarly equipped as the middle eastern variants i.e. 2 front airbags only.

My friend who works for CRC construction in KSA. they have alvisins in their car pool and his team have one since last year for daily use, according to him its driven 117K so far and proved to be reliable car, they travel all day from site to site in scorching heat. and frequent trips between damaam and riyadh as well

Success in Pakistan depends on how they market, price and after-sales services. Specially with recent launch of Yaris, price point is very critical... Hope its won't met the same fate as Pearl and Bravo, who IMO, failed due to old technology underpowered engine (Mehran. engine replica).

Looks like a local production. Since the wipers go from left to right as they would in a right hand drive.

The camouflaged cars were left hand drives.

Sir, very sharp eyes . I hope they also get the wiper and indicator stalks in their proper positions for right hand drive cars. But Changan will have to really up their game in all aspects to enter our market successfully.

In European cars, the wiper and indicator controls are on the opposite side as of Pakistani cars even though they are right hand drives.

But japanese cars in left hand drive cars are adjusted to local driving conditions.

Left hand cars have indicators on left, right hand ones have them on the right

In UK, cars have indicator stalk on the left of the column and wiper stalk on the right. That's probably due to the fact that Ford, Opel, Renault, Citroen, VW, MB etc primarily design cars for left hand drive but make an exception for UK. So to save on costs equip right hand drive UK cars with steering columns of left hand drive cars. Odd but it's there. Japan and Australia demand proper right hand drive stalks placement. That's why I'm hoping we get proper right hand drive equipment.

Rear fog lights on Chinese vans and pick ups are on the left side as they didn't bother to change their placement for Pakistan. Ideally the fog light is on the driven side or two fog lights.
