Absolutely, that's why Pak assembled Alsvin is not worth it in some people opinion including me.

Ok, bought the Alsvin Lumiere yesterday. Only issue until now: what is this nonsense about changing the engine oil after every three months? Any good synthetic oil should last for at least 6 months. In fact, in Saudi Arabia, Changan recommends changing after 6 months - it's the same engine.

Congratulations! I think, all car makers state same 3 month time for oil change. I would suggest to stick with Changans recommended oil.

This is overkill. 6 months interval is common these days. Even Pak Suzuki is recommending 6 months for fully synthetic oil.

Well that's just stupid then. Why are they just wasting oil? NO synthetic oil gets degraded that quickly. I checked that they are indeed using fully synthetic oil.

Kia uses Shell's oil in KIA packaging. However, Hyundai uses ZIC's oil but still both these companies made 3 months servicing intervals as mandatory. BTW, which engine oil does changan offers for alsvin and oshan?

3 months is a massive overkill, dealerships just minting extra profit.

Only new entrants are doing it like Kia.

It's fully synthetic 5w-30 for alsvin (3900 for 4 liters). For Oshan, it's 0w-20. Not sure which company they get it from - they are in Changan branded bottles.

Apparently, Honda, Kia, etc are all doing exactly the same. I am very surprised that more people haven't taken this up before.

I have been driving Alsvin for about 2 weeks. Largely I am satisfied with the drive and the car but there seem to be a few niggling issues I hope I can get answers to.

1. Paint job is absolute trash. Hit a motorbike at 1KM/h speed and the paint from the front of the bumper is gone. I can see the body underneath. Can you guys suggest what I should do? Ceramic coating or PPF?

2. Something is wrong with RPM whenever the car comes out of Auto OFF at the signal, the RPM increases like crazy, and if I press the accelerator right away, the wheels skid. A similar thing happens when I switch gears from Reverse to D, the RPM goes mental momentarily. How should I get it fixed?

3. The speakers are absolute garbage. I don't even listen to music that much even then I am disappointed. My Nissan Dayz has much better speakers.

4. I don't understand the Bluetooth connectivity on the car head unit. Every time I start the car I have to manually connect my Galaxy S22 by toggling the AUDIO/CALLS option.

A couple of things I am really missing are the retractable mirrors and height adjustment of the driver seat.

Have Lumiere 2022. Except point 1, absolutely no issues faced here. Car going great

Are you happy with the speakers? I listen to hard rock and the sound is not loud even at 39 volume which is the highest.

Nah.... Not much interest in stereo.... Even if it's not in the car, doesn't matter to me
