Dr. Sahab i am an ex owner, have sold my ride in the very first month

It was a pure heart break, i had a warning light lit up on the dash and it was there everytime I drove it home from work in the afternoon. When i took it to Jan motors, rawalpindi it was not lit up due to any reason unknown, they just ignored and said sir hu jata hay kabhi kabhi, sensor ki light kharab hu gi, chinese cheez hay, tension na lein... so the next time when it appeared i kept the engine running and took it to them and this time round they said bhai yeh tu dct heat up warning light hay, gari bund ker deni thi foran, aap chalaty kiu rahay... in short the only remedy i was given was to halt the car everytime it showed....

after a few days i got irritated and requested the salesman to buy back the car, got rid of it, own minus 50k...

What are issues (most common) which you are facing in alsvin auto variants… like engine, DCT PROBLEMS..

Kindly answer if your car is 15k minimum driven.

only drove it 500 kilometers and got DCT Heatup warning and paint chips.

The thing is that when people buy a certain brand, they become marketing heads of that brand, so no use asking people online, i wasted my time and money owing to online praise, would suggest to buy alsvin DCT only if there is a specific need or desire. Otherwise go for Saga in the same price range, Yaris/city if you could increase your budget a little. Even a used altis grande 15/16 model is in the same price range and is ten times better

This DCT heat up issue is such a frustrating one, be it in any car. I had a Fit GP5 which was an excellent car except this issue. I didn't face it very often, but the few times I faced it, was enough to make me sell that car. 'Heartbreak' is the correct word for it somehow since I loved that car otherwise. Now have a Vitz 2018 in its place with a boring CVT but a reassurance that it will not leave me stranded on the road in hot weather and a slightly longish ride in moderate traffic.
DCT is delicate and needs regular maintenance according to manufacturer's recommendation.

Hence my point proved, DCT is not a durable transmission, its designed for high maintinance, less driven, sports cars... not for daily driven sedans.

Dry DCTs reliable nai the wet are reliable. DCT KE Tori precautions bhe hoti uspe compromise na krin agr to teak hai

Aoa everyone. Getting a brand new manual 1.3 . One thing i saw in market. Why dct cars are so much less than the invoice. It looks like everyone is getting rid of dct lumiere. Should i stick with brand new 1.3 or get a bit driven lumiere? Please lemme know as i have no idea about this car.

People who are selling in 36-37 bracket got their cars at 27-32 lac. They are selling for profit.

But deciding factor should be, if you want an auto or manual car.

Alsvin has an image of a cheap alternate to quality sedan.... if you can afford, buy city or yaris, its an investment... you get the multiples of extra money back at the time of resale, 2021 yaris fetches 44 lakh in optimal condition, 2021 alsvin fetches 32, he paid 3 lakhs extra and gets 12 lakhs extra in resale....

110% agree with that, had a very horrible experince buying lumiar in 2021. bought it on own money when city 1.2 was available in 2lac less however just sold it in 32 and bought the same 2021 used city in 34 meaning loss of 4lac.
alsvin Build is strong but that doesnt add up much when u compare the rest of things. VERY VERY pathetic paint quality, doors made squaking sounds and passengar door tips when the car is in rain. Sunroof ratles like hell when on bumpy road. consulted CIM when car was only driven 6k and they say they will dissasemble complete roof asembly to make it fixed and that too will be charged. Thats the pathetic serivces they are offering. On top of it the knocking sounds in reverse and 1st gear will make you so much annoyed like you are driving a trackter. I can bet that the auto alsvin is going to fail miserably in coming months

Hello PW community, i had a quick question.
in recent times i got to know that changan is asking alsvin owners to visit showroom to obtain upgrade in remote setting which can enable them to roll down windows of car from remote. is it available on all alsvin variants or just top of the line lumier variant

I agree people are buying Changan also as a third sedan option after Yaris and City. However, Changan removed a lot of features that are provided in Saudi Arabia and also priced it 23% more in Pakistan. Gap in price in Saudi Arabia between Yaris and Alsvin was 30% while in Pakistan the difference was only 7% when launched. So instead of these advertisement it would have been better to provide actual value to customers. So yes Changan Disrupted the Status Quo by setting even worse "standards"
