I believe so.. someone told me on the CKD base varaint it might be just a regular radio but you are right..it should be 7"..but the one in this picture looks different than the one seen on the launch model

Yes, the head units and the overall dash looks different than the CBUs.

As far as I know this was in early days of airbags as they provide a place for airbags to come out and contains damage to the whole dashboard in event of airbag deployment. The air bag comes out of this place.
Mostly newer designs don't need this but most of the dashboard is not repair/salvageable after deployment.

These pictures on Facebook today are off a old test mule, This car has been spotted several times earlier too. The steering switches are different. The dashboard is different. Alot more black finishes then silver, the audio unit is also different.

And top of all this car had wheel caps. No local trim has wheel caps. This car can be seen in post # 33 of this thread

I have mentioned dashboard quality being cheap earlier aswell. But one can only tell once see the actual thing.

Seats were black in the first unit that came out of assembly. Probably without sunroof

But seats are beidge on cars parked in factory with sunroof. The post i shared as more pictures from Facebook. Post # 375

Well in that case the Changan website mentions beige ivory seats which is standard across the trims. But the first units came out with black interior and is most probably fabric.. even if its black faux leather, the website does not mention that. I think Chagan website alsvin spec might need some updates.

Their website can be a bit misleading. On very first day, they mentioned TPMS in all variants. And next very day, TPMS was only in the premiim variant.

You are right, pulled off some details from excise department and according to that this particular unit has been registered in the month of September 2020.

Yes. This may be an old unit brought as a test mule and improvised. Because this looks very different from the unit displayed at launch. But if the quality of the locally produced car is like this one, phir Pakistanis ko wo lagaya ja raha hai jo sari companies mil k laga rahi hain. Choona.

As for build quality it will be on par with Yaris and better than city.

Alsvin manual should target the market of picanto and cultus , should price about 19 20. The next two varients will give them the open market of 20 to 24 lacs where we have only swift, cultus and picanto top versions. Alsvin should win that easily.

If they price it any higher they will fail to gain any market.
