The 5 seater should compete with the price of Proton X70, undercut so it makes a market.

And, reduce alsvin lumiere price because it’s too close to those sautela brands Yaris.

Any updates on this 'Shahkaar' from Master motors. They've been posting questions on fb like they're going to somehow upset the industry with their launch. While there's very little hope for it to be sensibly priced.

Met someone from Changan yesterday. They said the price would be between 5.5 to 6M and the 5 seater would be the premium model with some extra features whereas the 7 seater would be slightly cheaper. One of the USP would be the engine’s capability (torque and bhp) and especially that the MG is out of reach now so this probably will replace it. I didn’t really like the ivory faux leather inside, expected genuine leather in this price range.

This is a big car. Definitely a D segment. A pkdm under 6 million will be a maaaasssive hit.

Still I hope, top trim stays below 6mil.
Might be a very good new offering, after Sportage, if Master motors prices it correctly while maintaining quality and features.
Could easily capture Proton's X70 market, since that was a promising product ruined by al-haj and proton malaysia

Look. It all depends on their pricing. Remember, Chinese have to price it lower than jap/Koreans to make a market.

If it’s touching 5.5 to 5.8 million for top variant, why would someone not just get a proven car like Sportage or Tucson.

Be realistic.

They need to keep the price low to get some penetration into the market , they wont sell much with price close to 6 million. They should offer an introductory price below 5 million. Remember its chinese , alsvin despite being value for money still hasnt sold as much as it should.
