we are getting 188hp 1.5t/DCT version which is priced between 93.9k-133.9k RMB (2.58mn - 3.68mn PKR).

Price increase of Alsvin Lumiere from China to Pakistan is around 57%. For simplicity's sake and because both Alsvin and X7 fall under 1300-1500cc tax bracket, If we apply the same increase to X7 pricing, it comes out to be 5.77mn PKR.

So this price estimate of mine was pretty accurate.

Seeing the specs/pics, my observations are:

A Chinese brand (with a very weird name) competing with koreans, and pricing their car equal to them (a bad move)
2) I see lumbar support missing (a huge let down). All other crossovers offering it
3) Missing the Auto rear view dimming mirror.
4) No dual zone climate control.
5) only FWD option (saves them differential case cost)
Still a HUGE and risky price domain? Cant these new companies atleast START with decent pricing. And then they may raise a bit after the first year.
If they're a bit low on features, at least compensate for that in price.
But at 6mil, it's head to head with a "AWD" koreans.

Changan SURELY is keeping more margins per unit for itself, compared to Hyundai/KIA/Proton.

A bit too pricey for my liking, so will most likely pass.

Changan has to understand:

Anyone going for X7 will be taking a huge risk by ditching the established brands and going for a Chinese product.
And, also bear the bashing by friends/family for going Chinese at that price.

Yes, it seems to have good quality, but at least lure buyers in the start with great price.

They could have focused on disrupting the market - 5 to 5.3 mil max.

coming to the positives,
Absolutely loving it that they included adaptive cruise control.

It's a must have on motorways. Simple cruise just doesn't do it on congested motorways now, specially M2 and M1.

+1 for radar/adaptive cruise.

Would love to see some numbers for normal petrol.

MG HS is also Euro 5 but has really poor average, also requires hi octane.

As for 0-100: 8.23 seconds is really, really fast - one of the fastest vehicles in Pakistan if true!

I think price is competitive, it is a bigger car with lot of features. X70 and mg are also chinese. If they do well with quality, it will sell good.

The points that bother me at the 6 mil price, when comparing with proton.

Proton will be around 5.4mil (once its price is revised). And in that it offers additional (from specs of both vehicles we know so far) :
1) Dual zone climate
2) Nappa leather
3) 8 way power seats plus lumbar support (compared to changan's 6-way)
4) reach adjustment for steering
5) A kenwood sound system, along with original protons integrated screen (not a cheap chinese shitty screen)
6) Continental tyres (compared to Changan's Chinese tires)
7) Engine and transmission that has the name 'Volvo' associated at its back.
8) Boss switch on passenger seat
9) auto dimming rear view mirror
10) a better interface/design meter (personal preference)

Other things are common, 360 camera, adaptive cruise, 5 seats, heated/ventilated frontal

Changan only has the edge of additional torque and a slightly higher hp figure, and the added size.
I just can't wrap my head around 6mil to justify it.
It had to be 5.7mil (or 5.4 in the ideal world) with all these specs. Or they could have offered atleast a few more things (as mentioned in the above list) and then the 6mil price might have been easier to digest.

If only proton rolls out some ckds for x70 and starts some real production, I'll definitely be considering it over Oshan

It is just the name or some hypothetical cliché we pakistanis have like when we do lumber1 lumber1??

Proton was launched 3 years ago and couldnt deliver pkdms...how can it be better then changan?? We need some data on this.

Who said proton was better than Changan?
I explicitly mentioned the features that they're offering WHICH are better than what changan would be offering.
The argument spins around, and I may ask the same, who said changan was better than proton? And if not, what makes them think they can price their car, with less features, above another similar Chinese brand.

But one thing that proton has going for it, is the engine and transmission that was Co-developed with volvo. And no matter what one says, that alone instils a little more confidence in the product, over a random Chinese engine and transmission

True. That is for protons products
The x70 engine, 1.5t being offered here, is one used in volvo/geely combined products. And is an award winning engine due to its characteristics despite being a 3 cylinder
So i would always place it at the top amongst crossover offerings in pakistan, it only just needs a little actual data backing from local usage

X70 is best value for money no doubt but unfortunately it is not available. Market value is only for the car which is available in the market. Who on earth can wait more than a year and still clueless when they will get the car.

That is the reason I don't even want to consider it a potential option.
But then, only talk about it, since it tells what a rip off and opportunist group changan master motors is.

today i visit changan showroom & saw Oshan x7 5 seater i was surpiresed with the Quality i can easily Compair with Haval H6 & MG HS with Alot of good featured both Pasanger & Driver side Seats are Electric with 6 way & Seat febric was Also really good.

Just had a detailed chat with Chagan head sales. He confirmed that the on 3 row version, the second row slide and tilt and it is also 60:40. On the 2 row varaint, 60:40 only.
