Change modem or use splitter

hi i am using ptcl 1 mb dsl. The modem i am using is zte 831 series. The problem is tha i want to connect 2 computers to that modem but modem has 1 ethernet port. What i should do will decrease. If i should use ethernet splitter

it will decrease the speed please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need an Ethernet switch.

what are you talking about man? There is no way to connect two computers on same internet connection without sharing the speed.

U required switch/HUB. Speed would be shared anyway

bro speed will decrease but you will hardly get to know about it...
2 computers per pata henae chalta yar...
and try to get a switch BAYLAN..it is 8 port ethernet switch and it will cost you rs-800/-

see if u can get ur modem changed by ptcl. i have a huawei modem which has a usb port apart from the ethernet port to which i connect my laptop...and these days they're supplying modems with multiple ethernet ports.

Yes, these days they are giving new modems which have 4 ethernet ports.... that would be the best option

Well I got unlucky, I had a huawei H510 modem, I called them and got it replaced with a wireless modem it is some ZYXEL company's SHITTY modem, although it has 4 ethernet ports but it keeps on restarting when ever wifi and ports are used at the same time, it restarts after every 5 or 10 mins
This new modem is pain in the A*s, today I caled them and insulted them alot and asked them to fix it or change this shitty modem
I am missing my huawei modem
