Change of Toyota 16 Valve EFI Engine to VVTI Engine

I have a question, I have a Toyota Corolla 2.0D SE Limited, 2002 Model, recently the car have 16 valve EFI Engine with manual gear. I want to replace the engine to VVTI with Automatic gear. i want to know that is thi possible without any alteration in Front Engine compartment of the car, and the VVTI Engine will be placed in the front compartment of Corolla 2.0D SE Limited, 2002 Model. If it is possible please suggest me VVTI engines in 1600 CC. Thanks.

It depends upon your need,what you want from your car.1nz will be a good option with automatic gear.btw which engine are you using currently?share pics and why you feel need for VVTi?

thanks for the advise, I have search the net and found that 2ZZ is 1.8 L VVTI Engine.
I need 1.6 VVTI Engine, what about 1NZ FE 1.5L or 3ZZ-FE 1.6 L. Please advise me, my priority is to change the EFI 1.6 to VVTI 1.6 with automatic gear and (without any alteration in Front Engine compartment of the car in which engine is palced).

If you want to swap only because you needs vvti.then go for 1ZR-Fe its dual vvti🤪
