Hello and Assalam Alaikum,I would like to know if its feasible to change engine of 1.3 cc 2019 model(old shape) with suzuki swift 1.2cc new shape. As you know that fuel milage is very low in old shape swift and i am very frustrated now. please suggest if it is useful and if the engine can be fix without any alteration on main body/pillar etc
i don't think it would be possible without alterations as both are completely different engines.
plus, don't change engine of a 2019 model car, it will lose all its resale value. 2019 is a relatively newer model
The engine you sell and purchase this one will cost you around 250-300k in total. Is this a wise decision. Will you drive this car last that long to reap the rewards?resale value will tankif 2019 car engine is gone then surely car is in rough shape already so how do you think you'll get the new engine to last longif engine and car in good condition, sell it on and buy a smaller/efficient car like Cultusfinally, there is option that you can get 1.0 turbo engine also in this model, maybe check that out
Car and engine is in good condition. just wanted to change engine for fuel economy. i will keep 1.3 engine with me and when i decide to sell the car, i will install old engine.
Again, will you travel enough to offset this cost that could be around 3lac rs not to mention shoddy workmanship by Pakistani mechanics
if your main concern is fuel economy, and you are okay with it, you can install LPG kit and it will increase fuel economy in city 16-18 and on highway 25-27 km/l
K12 engines has same engine transmission mounting placements so it will be a bolt-on swapsir @versitian, however there will not be any significant improvement in fuel economy at all. As sir @Massive_One suggested you may switch to LPG for better fuel consumption without engine swap
