I have owned my wagon R since 2014, Mileage isn't that much.I just drive inside the city but I have been flat tyres quite frequently. I live in a small city and you know how some of the roads are like in the small cities- non existent. So in the past 2 month I have had half a dozen flats. The puncture guy suggested maybe it's time to change tyres. Can anyone guide me through the process please like 'tyre changing for dummies'. 1. How do I know if it's time to change them? FYI I just peeked in the garage and I have another flat after just a short run to the market
Which ones should I get? and from where? I am a female and I would like something low hassle.
If i want to sell the old ones, what's the process?
Thank you!
Best to get tyres changed and get tubeless tires. Get General tires in the same size as you already have. Shopkeepers adjust the old tires against new.Kindly check tire pressure (air) regularly, and also the spare tire in case of emergency.
Get general euro tycoon, same as stock tyres
Regarding replacement, dealers usually adjust old ones for approx 2k (500/tyre)
Depends upon your city Fellow pakwheelers from your city can guide better Regarding tyre dealers
Get the same size tyres of general company. Don't go for used tyres as it will cause more problems when running. You can visually inspect your tyres by looking at the treads, these are at the portion where the tyre touches the road. Between these should be a small mark which shows the point at which when your tread reaches you must replace. You can also check the sides of the tyre for any sort of cracks.
Yes this is very important!
@murtazamohammad54 Are the general tycoon ones tubeless?
Sorry for the dumb question, but for spare I can keep and use one of my old ones temporarily if the other ones are general tyres? yes?
Yes, they will be tubeless if i am correct. Do make sure if you purchase them to double check with the sales shop. You do not need to apologise as any question is never stupid but not knowing is worse. Yes use the tyre removed as a spare only if it is in good condition, it doesn't matter imo if it is a different brand provided that all the other tyres used are reliable.
Thank you so much. These are very basic things that I am unfortunately unaware of.
I will try and ask someone about reliable dealer in my city.
