All right guys I bought a 2 door Charade 84 for my project. Before I write any thing about this project I have to share my background about how I came in to modding cars. Like almost every teenager racing games were my favourite and Need for speed underground 1 & 2 were the one I liked the most just because of the endless modding ability the game possesed and the addition of drag and drifts races. Now I know this doesn't mean anything till now and you guys would be wondering wtf is this but this is what motivated me and cars became my hobby.
My first project was not super crazy and I was inspired by a fellow pakwheels member named @rozzzzz. I did a successful swap of G15 Automatic in to a 2003 Cultus. @rozz I dont know if rozz still rembers or not I used to call him asking about the mountings and axles and all those bacho wale sawalat, back then he was a great help. Thanks Rozz.
Other than that I have owned couple of cars which includes a proper jdm Swift(cultus shape) g13b 2 door version which was later totaled at a speed of 120kph. Then a jdm Civic eg 2 door. Then I moved to 4 door 1998 Civic and the last one I owned was a Holden Commodore 2012 V6. All these cars I owned were in Australia.
Now I have moved back to Pakistan and Karachi is the city where I live and now I am need of some thing which is fast, torqueyyyy, stable and budget friendly. I opted for a boosted d16 in a charade. The car which I bought was in a pretty bad shape body wise, but then I cant complain the price I paid for it. This is the list of upgrades I am going to get.
********Note: I am not an professional, the reason for creating this thread is to get help from the pros around here. This car in no way will be used as a daily driven car. It will be used on weekend only. I must admit I am a beginner and a rookie when it comes modding and my mechanic is helping me out and I would like the Pakwheels community to guide me throug as well.
Performance Upgrades.
1. D16 vtec
2. Vf22 turbo
3.6 puck clucth( brand new from amazon delivering in 2 weeks)
4. Brand new ARP head studs(almost here, waiting for customs)
5. Gtti front disc brakes. Need help from pros what should i do for the rears? Should I go for larger drums or is there is a work around to get discs on rear?
6. 560cc injectors
7. Front mounted intercooler.
8. After market pistons and rods.
Body upgrades.
Just changing the bug eye looks to the more modern looking charade of 86-87. Got the bonnet and grill, as far as fenders are concerned dont want to spend too much on the body the denter will be doing his custom katta pitti to adjust the lights.
