Charade 85 power steering - YES or NO?

Salam,

I have Charade 85 model and want to go for power steering. Can any expert advise mem should I go for it or not ?

Also from where in Rawalpindi I can get it done?

no. why bother with all the oil leakage and whatnot.

its original perfectly maintained steering spins easily and is quite soft.

JazakALLAH - I will try to get the original fixed as it feels bit hard. Actually I have Altis 1.6 and purchase this for local use so that may be the difference of feel.

If your charade got an engine with vss and manual steering rack then you can go for EPS.

Don't go for it; the steering column can crush your chest in case of an accident.

Just make sure that the stock steering rack is in good condition, and make sure to use stock rims (or rims with stock offset); the stock steering is light enough that you won't even need power steering.

I had an 85 Charade and the manual steering was very light. Travelled all over Punjab and North on it.

Ive met a guy who said his g11 charade had a difficult steering.

He was trying to palm it while stationary, I had no words and I automatically reduced 50 points of his IQ in my imagination
