Any leads for wiper motor in Karachi and how much it would cost along with labour to fit.

It starts from 500 till 5000 depending upon power(Watt) as per your wiper blade size and type.

If you use simple new style silicon type wipers instead of old heavy metal type then light motor of any JDM Alto or Suzuki Kei or Wagon R will also work.

Visit Shah Faisal Automotive Market near Airport to find such old used motors. You can also repair your old original wiper motor from there too

mines busted after a long wear n tear of 45 years...not repairable according to my electrician. Hes suggesting a mehran motor with estimate of 2500 plus 2500 labor... shall go for it?

Your motor should be repairable, infact the oldest daihatsu parts catalogs had repair kit for the wiper motor for g10 and g11 models. G100 had modular units.

Its a very simple motor with 2 carbon brushes and a park switch on the transmission. Find an oldschool person who can rebuild starter motors (as in rewind the armature too) it would be a piece of cake for them.
