I was also facing these issues, after changing rings two times in just 1.5 years and spending over 30K, i decided to change the engine once for all, my engine was badly used by my self, after a expensive hit I leaned few things, change engine oil on time, change oil filter and air filter, check water level and also check proper working of water body and tightness of belt, check radiator for leaks and radiator fan, also use engine on petrol before and after using CNG. and also install rpm meter and set your engine idle rpm. if i forgot any thing please add.

anyone have any idea or experience in securing car with latest system, like vehicle tracking Smart Card Security and anti theft security system or any other, as back in 2006 i owned a charade 82, which i reconditioned like a new and it was stolen from my office parking, and was recovered after 20 days in a real bad condition, so experience do count, i like to add security and kill switch to my list.

Hi All, thinking to buy a charade 88 and get engine swap, have a budget of 2.5 lac. Its mine first car don't know either it will be a good idea ? Because i want to have and keep car for 2 to 3 years . Please suggest if i can have some alternate. And how much it will cost to swap and all work done. Suggested best engines with no or minimal alteration.

i want suggestions regarding my charade g11 84 steering . I want to replace the steering with a new one as i asked some mechanics they suggested to replace with steering of diahatsu coure. is this a good choice or i should search for original steering as it is very difficult to find.

As for my opinion, swapping engine is not a good idea until u can't find a original replacement, for charade 88 there are many kabli engine available at shafeeq moor.Karachi, and in sharesha, last month I purchased a CB23 charade engine for my Charade 88, after purchase just change the rings, oil pump chain and time belt, price for a engine is around 32k without gearbox, and mechanic will charge few k more to change ring

What is the avg fuel comsuption of charade 86 on petrol and cng both.

My car is running 6km/L
And 120 kms on full cng (around 500 rps)
Please suggest

The timing of engine is kept at advance for CNG and thus high petrol consumption when you shift to petrol.

I have heard that there is a device (used by suzuki factory fitted CNG carbeurator cars, don't know the exact name) that normalises the timing when you switch to petrol.

Thanks @saboor73 what about CNG consumption. I got my tank full with CNG approx 500 rps and went to sunway lagoon water park 120kms return trip and cng was almost consumed at quaidabad when i was returning so i then switched to petrol. which is more horrible consumption rightnow, should k change my carburater or repaired?

cng has nothing to do with carb
