As salaam alikum I have a car who's chassis number is getting rusted so much that a digit is almost gone (still readable but rusted badly). Showed it to a couple of Denters but as per them nothing can be done as it will be consider as tempering.Plz guide me what to do

you can try a coat of rust converter over that area then paint that section with rust proof paint minimum 2 coats over it.

I am also thinking of rust converter but don't know what to do with rusted digit. It is rusted from 3 sides only one side is holding it to the body.
Use rust converter to stop rust, once done use fiberglass fabric and glue to paste it solid from its back so the original metal remains intact.
Thanks Zulfiqar bhai. I was thinking on the same lines before a guy told me that it will be considered as tempering.Would it?But yes it seems to be the best way before what's left turns into brown dust.
Ask an agent outside a registration office, they can guide you best, older pajeros had this issue too.
I'll visit aclc office in a day or two, I will ask those guys who do forensic / lab test and give clearance letter etc.Thanks once again
