Check Airbag System Inidication+Cabin water flooding

Due to recent rains, I was foolishly driving through a 'lake' of water accumulated where I live and a lot of it came inside the cabin. Although, I quickly parked the car higher nearby and took the water out. The car had stopped already due to moisture in spark plugs (separate issue, fixed) but since that 'Check Airbag System' warning is constantly on my i-MID screen.

I suspect that since water creeped into the cabin it might have damaged the weight sensors underneath the driving seat or its connectors (I'm not sure if this is applicable to Pakistani Civics)

I asked Honda dealership they were asking Rs. 3000 just for diagnosing it so I am looking at alternative options to try to diagnose it myself first and fix it if possible!

Any ideas and suggestions would mean a lot!

Civic is 9th gen 2015 model. Attached image is not from my car but same alarm. Apart from getting the carpet removed and cleaned, any other suggestions to check after water flooding inside the cabin?

same thing happened with my car. eventually found the solution once the jack grip for all airbag sensors was dried and cleaned. specially the ones in the front bumper area.

Can you please specify the locations of said sensors

you need to check, m not sure the exact location of the air bag sensors in 2012 civic. but they are their to protect in case of front collision so must be around bumper area.

I am in Hyderabad. I tried looking for some layout diagrams for sensors and this is what I found

I am sure there would be some other sensors as well specially in the steering column and maybe in the bumper area but I am not sure.

Get your car scanned...i had a similar issue in my 8th gen civic. Turned out it was a problem with a grip of one of sensors in bumper.

Does it flash? if it does, count the number of flashes. It'll give you a code. Look that code up and it'll give you the source of problem.
If it doesn't flash, scanner may be the only option.

Mine Civic Showed the same Check Air Bag System Notification. After That i Parked the car and turn it off like normally. After It is turned off everything just stopped working. its remote stopped working. what could be the possible reason. even after inserting the key it didn't show anything. Everything is just blank.
