I just checked used cars section of PW and people are demanding 21 lacs for 0 meter 1.8 Altis S/R Cruisetronic. Looks like its value has increased (as expected)
Altis 1.8 will be sold for very high amounts if Toyota discontinues it permanently.
In a few years it will be just like the 1.6GLi Indus Corolla. Quite rare and pricey.
I m sick and tired of hearing this phrase "UNDER POWERED" for corolla gli/xli. How can we expect to consider a 1300cc displacement engine in a 4 door sedan body to actually "ROAR" I am a proud owner of a gli 2010 and have never felt betrayed. It does what it was intended for i.e behave as a decent family carrier. And honestly, this car does perform above its credentials in the shape of a comfortable and balanced drive. I have driven this car with family from motorways to ever bending and damaged roads up in north of Pakistan but never felt underpowered with this car. Mind you this is not my first Ride of this catogory, ive driven all brands in pakistan and few others while i was abroad. Cheers!!!

Things coming from Toyota are indeed nice BUT price tag--one word INSANE....
However, if one has got money, he will certainly get tempted to these new models and particularly facelift(If I would have 1.6 million, definitely Corolla)...

i just reached 2nd page & im angryyaa 1.3l gli can do more then 180km\hyaa city can overtake gliyaa city is lighter then gliyaa city has batter motoryaa 1.6l gli will be batter in performance then both 1.3l carsyaa 1.6l will eat more fuel then 1.3lyaa 1.6l not batter then 1.8l in performance yaa toyota is selling expansive crap

I had 1.6 million..added 0.1 million more which I kept for registration etc...and just have got new Civic VTi M/T for myself...I wanted to buy Altis Cruisetronic but was expecting it will be 1.7; given they have reduced the engine size. Anyways; I am happy to have selected "better for me" option instead!
