I have had the qq for the last four months. its mostly driven by my wife but i drive it too. we both like it a lot and we think its a great buy. when i took it in for the first servicing to JR motors (karachi), the setup looked impressive. But on our return the car was showing the engine light constantly. we took it back to them to fix. they told my wife that it was poor grade of petrol we had used and we should use only shell (fyi, we only use shell). in any case they apparently fixed it, but as soon as we came back the same problem. so i took it back and gave them a piece of my mind. they apoloigized but could not give any proper answer and said the same thing that its becasue of poor petrol. they said if the light come up, take it to 4000rpm in thrid gear and it will disappear.
the light did go on again when we brought it back and when we take it to the 4000rpm mark in third it does disappear. but since then we have had it refuelled it twice, from shell both time but the problem persists.
w were very satisfied with chery and isued to recommend even force firends to buy chery, since it was such a great car for the price. but this whole episode is really pissing me off. i am giving it a few more days after that i will go back or call and fight with the owner (asad wahid).
do let me know about your situation and if anyone else is facing this situation. I have a feeling that its a minor thing, but these jerks are going to hurt their reputation big time by this sort of attitude, espeically when chery is trying to make a name for itself in a competitive market, and give more fuel to people who reject qq becasue its chinese.
