His whole channel is full of videos praising Tiggo 8 Pro. So i am not surprised if this is the result vs Changan. There's even a video of him beating X RS Turbo on motorway. He accelerates with random people on motorway, records it and then shows it as if Tiggo won. 9/10 times the people he is racing with don’t even know they are being raced with. I won't be surprised if someday he starts beating BMWs, AMGs and Porsches.

How is the after sales response, are u happy with it. Thinking abt buying this car, but it'll be the primary car, so can't afford it being unavailable for long durations due to any issue.

What do u guys suggest, should we go for it?

I have been experiencing a lot of tire noise and tire and road evenness in my Chery Tiggo 8 Pro. The total mileage is 27,000 km. I always drive on the Ring road or Motorway, with no off road driving. I get the wheels balanced, tire cross and aligned every 10K km, and the rear camber was adjusted at 15,000 km. Despite wheel balancing, alignment checks, and tire inspections... I still can't understand why there's tyre noise and feeling tire uneven. Is anyone else facing this problem? any solution?

Overall they are good, but still learning about customer service. I faced a few problems with my car in the beginning, but they responded well and replaced the parts within a week. However my communication was directly with their head office in Karachi...

I would have responded earlier but I was unable to login to pakwheels using my laptop or tab. My phone is logged into pakwheels and now the only device I can post from. Strange. Also pictures can now no longer be uploaded from any device.

Coming to your question. I have owned the car for more than a year during which there was a clutch replacement under warranty. The work was quick and went well with out any delay and any cost to me. BTW the clutch is in excess of one lac rupees. After i took the car home, the next day the car would not start with message "TCM not found". The dealer sent the mechanics to my house with the scanner. Problem was traced to the transmission control module grip not fully pushed into its receptcle. Recently the battery on my car died and the dealer told me that I could only fix a Chery battery otherwise the warranty will be void. The battery from the dealer was on back order and the price was over one lac eighty thousant or some ridiculous amount in that range. Because the battery was not available with the bealer and also not available with ghandara Nissan and my making a huge fuss as to my not able to leave the car on my drive till the battery comes which could be who knows how long, I was able to get permission to source a battery from the market. From all thse totally honest experiences you may take whatever impressions you may like.

Salam Saqib sb. Yes you are 100% correct in observing the loud and annoying tire noise. A bit of background: I had the original Cooper tyres which were somewhat worn out when I bought the car used with 12000km. I continued using the car as till 18000km I then noticed that the tyres were too worn and went for Continentals. These were marginally better than the Cooper in that there was less wheel spin during a full throttle start.

Your going for allignment, wheel balance etc. has no impact on tyre nose. Tyre noise is a function of the rubber compound of the tyre, the amount of wear on the tyre(as tyres wear out the noise increases) and level of sound insulation in the vehicle. Of my Haval, Proton X70 and chery, chery is the loudest in the road nose department.

With regards to alignment, especially rear alignment, chery suffers from poorly aligned vehicles from the factory. Not good on part of the assembly line workmanship.

sir @msabbasi truly tyre rolling sound also depend over pavement. The 80 km/hr (noise) sound over kashmir highway is different as compared to 80km/hr over abbotabad motorway, in the very same car.

Absolutely correct. My point was that on the same road different tyres will produce different noise and same road same tyres and different cars with different noise insulation will produce different noise. My Chery is the loudest of all our cars. I have measured this using a sound meter app on the phone. Also the ears confirm the same

Just to update you all... I sent my car to Chery service center... and after a thorough examination they discovered that the wheel bearing was not functioning properly and was causing the noise. They have noted this issue in the warranty claim...
so the main sound issue was due to the wheel bearing

Excellent news that the problem has been identified. On such a new car, no one thought that the wheel bearing has gone bad. But it is good that the issue will get handled properly.

I am not sure if I shared this earlier. Lots of fun to watch. It is not strictly of our version but the 2.0 with more power. This Malaysian driver really hammers the car up the hilly road. Note what they are saying about poor tyre grip. He cooks the engine on the way up. Under normal driving up the hill it will be fine. Listen to the end sumup.

It is a great dis-service to us that the AWD version of Tiggo 8 is not sold here or the PHEV version. Watch this and see what we are missing by no having the AWD car

I am writing to update you all regarding the continuous issues I have faced with my car, which I purchased in September 2023.

I am left unable to fully enjoy the car. Most of the money and energy I have spent have gone into visiting the Chery service center

Below are the details of the issues I have encountered:

• Engine Check Light (September 2023)
The engine check light appeared, and after several visits, it was initially resolved. However, the light reappeared within two days, and after six visits, it was diagnosed as a thermostat valve fault. This was finally replaced on November 7, 2023.

• Sunroof Noise (December 2023)
The sunroof started making noise, and the issue was reported for investigation.

• Trunk Noise (January 2024)
The trunk began making an unusual noise, which was brought to your attention.

• Thermostat Valve Repeat Issue (February 2024)
The thermostat valve issue reoccurred, despite it being replaced previously.

• Sunroof Noise Repeat (April 2024)
The same sunroof noise problem resurfaced, requiring further attention.

• Tyre Bearing Noise Issue (September 2024)
I reported noise from the tyres, and after multiple checkups, it was diagnosed as a bearing issue. The bearings were finally replaced in mid-November 2024.

• Engine Check Light ( 14-November 202)
Diagnosed its due to air leakage

• System Vent Valve Stuck (November 2024)
Currently, the car is in the Chery workshop due to a problem with the system vent valve, which is stuck. I am still awaiting a resolution.

• AC Not Working – Gas Leakage / Evaporator / AC Coil Problem (27 November 2024)
The air conditioning system has failed due to a evaporator/AC coil problem… I have yet to receive a solution.

This lemon idea applies only to used car market

That’s what you get with China stuff that is not tested for long term reliability in foreign markets ..

It may have flashy features and all but ultimately reliability trumps everything .

No sir a lemon is not ony a used car but more a vehicle that comes off the line with inherent faults. In the American market, there actually is a law called the "lemon buy back law". Once it is determined that a car is in fact a lemon, the manufacturer is by law obliged to buy back the car. Sadly no such luck here in this country. And yes the vehicle described above sounds very much a lemon.
