tin can Toyota and Hondas are also quite problemetic, the issue is that their parts are usually available easily, and if a part is not available readily its made available in few days. People who buy cars like Chevys usually opt for these vehicles in order to get a better quality as compared to locals and have high hopes with their cars. and when some such event occurs as happened to @slayerjatt then it brings a lot of disapointment. Otherwise such problem can even occur to a Ferrari, machinery kabhi bhi kharab ho sakti hai

I think the sales are really low so they are not maintaining the inventory for parts. They should have the commonly required parts but parts like trany motor, well maybe they never had any such complain before. Still its a poor show

i always mention the rolla X as it is a much better alternative to the garbage being offered by toyota PK yet it is still a rolla so it is comparable to the local one.

@hsnmz, whats that inside your brain ?? anyhow i ll tell you something about the new oriel reborn vti prosmatic civic, someone i know bought it and its crankshaft broke in 2nd or 3rd month, company had his car for a few months, i dont know if he has got the car back or not ! but local Hondas cannot be trusted either, but for the local tin can corolla which i dont like a bit, dont break easilly, thats for sure !

@Storm agreed bro but again the issue would be parts, and especially the body parts. what if one breaks its head light or any other such part. it will be a big head bomber to find such a part and will be expensive too.

not really, nowdays such parts are available. 2 years back people used to say that about alot of imports (like the vitz) but parts were available. afterall it is a toyota and i know in ISB they offer full support.

the quality of american cars suck and what could be worse than an american thing assembled in Korea?? which i think is this Aveo!!

did you really had a closer inspection of the car before you bought it? didn't you feel something about the quality? just yesterday i was amazed to see the paint quality on Dodge Avenger, the material of rear bumper on a Dodge Durango, the finishes on every car with a dodge badge......duh .... pathetic

One of our felow pakwheeler waited months to get an ECU for his ALTIS and in the end it was not arranged from Toyota dealership.

It hapens with every dealership in Pakistan. They dont carry slow moving parts and arrange them on need basis ony.

Who will ensure availability of parts for imports, Asghar Khan or Amanulah Kabaraiya, right?

It can be any brand. i have seen honda engine blew up at 50K kms and company has given estimate of 100K

Corollas on cng with blown Air intake manifold are not very rare to find and do you know the price of that part?

Many cars in pakistan had issues right from the factory which were rectified later.

Its about attitude of the company and dealer. How they want to treat a problem.

Balenos were recalled in the beginning for shock absorber replacement.

Toyota called back corollas t change rims.

I think Chevy guys have given him a reasonable time frame. Nothing very big

I only saw Dewan Farooque motors doing a major change to Cooling systems of Sportage all over pakistan. Theyc hanged seats for santro for free.

Problems are there to be solved and Chevy people will do it.
