plus u should have bought 1.3 belta , corolla x....y aveo, this is a mentality diff btw karachi and lahore ppl , Karachi customer observe cars on road first , cos u dont see anyyyyyyyy single aveo so far on karachi raods...

all the best... tell them that what if u can get parts from dubai and will they pay u, cos i was in dubai last week saw aveo there too, iam sure u can get it from there...

In my view, you should have gone for a Sunny or Lancer... And in used car segment, Corlla X and Belta were better options.

Khair, it is very sad to hear about your problem. But let me add here that Nissan and Mitsubishi have got better availability of spareparts nationwide. Especially in Karachi, I have never faced such problem for my Nissan Sunny.

Bro its really very sad to know about the problem that is developed with the tranny motor of your car.

First up first. Before you measure any more pros and cons did you try figuring out the reason for the tranny motor's failure if its the gear sets or the bands?

Well you thought that people are herry rig that they never discuss any other cars except Suzuki Toyo or Honda but this is a fact that no other car is of worth for us.

Toyota has always been the success and pioneer of our roads and we cannot deny to the fact that 60% of the global market is constituted of Toyo's products.

The Honda Civic is then supposed to be the luxury car for mostly burger families.

Suzuki remains at the bottom but yet the most sold car of Pakistan and for a share of 100% 52% of the market is occupied by Suzukis.

So now consider the above figures and guess where do you stand after buying a Chevy. You have tried to go beyond the markets and something not of worth will earn you nothing.

Imagine a guy owning a Lamb Gallardo in our country and how much problem would it be for the spare parts?

One of my dude imported a VW Fsi 1.6L for which he eneded up paying like 1.6 Million (Manchester-Lahore) and ultimately sold it for 1 Million. Now imagine the things and then tell me how do you expect the motor to arrive so early?

Chevy doesn't have a plant of its own in Pakistan and thus they need to import it from Dubai probably or Japan. Believe you me 25 days isn't a great time and to my surprise i'd love it if they do it in the given time period.

People no matter Pakwheels ites or Orkut ites talk alot that Honda is the best and Toyota is the worst or often called a paindoo car but they fail to understand that Toyota is a family sedan with a weakling 2NZ and a economical powerful 1ZZ while Honda tries to do what Chevy has done to aveo and thus they get over shadowed by their rivals but at least they have their own plants operating in PKDM.

I dont know what you had in mind while buying checy because if you wanted a decent car for performence and family purposes I'd have always and always suggested you to go for a E 120 Rolla with 2ZZGE init. If you were looking for comfort then why not a fairly used CL7/9 or Mark II Grande / premio for the price of your chevy?

Who prefers Chevy? No one does. Keep in mind, when ever you opt for something try to inquire about it as much as you can and use your brains and expert discussins not what mostly bozos discuss here and there.

Look into your neighbours and inquire from your teachers and class fellows and colleagues and then look around on street and peep throught gates and try to find out how many chevy you see of any times?

I will not even suggest you to buy a City or Liana for several reason that I dont want to discuss here. In a nutshell follow the market trends and get what suits you.

Waise personally speaking my own choice'd be a Honda S2000 or a Porshe Cayeean is my hot favourite. I have raced several cars including Lamb Gallardo and F430 on Zurich track. But If I am in Europe I'd go for a VW or Ford Ecsort or may be Audi R8 in luxury line up.

If its States then no other than a American Muscle or a speedster like Z06.

First of all I said Chevy is not operation on a large scale in Pakistan. If they are, their line up if very weak to facilitate a very small portion of their customers. I hope you get me know.

Yes that is a fact. About 89% of the market is based on Toyota, Honda and then Suzuki's cars. A single Xli, for instance, outsells all Hondas (Civic and City's of its times).

People need what is meant for their country. You have different options for different reason in just only Toyota. Different trims and then Premio, Mark II and so many.

My uncle owns and 530D and a Porshe Cayeean and other relatives do own Mercedes Sl 550. Its something out of market but as you know that Porshe is now operation on a big scale in this country and Deewan Farooq holds the contract for the BMWs. Similarly Mercedes is now handled by Mitsubishi and other than Toyota, Honda Suzuki, Mercedes, BMW, Mitshubishi is also selling its cars which isn't at all a bad experience.

Now tell me what else do you want to see on road?

Then you have Nissan 250 350Zzzz commonly running on roads. Corvette is not a problem and their parts aren't developing problem at all. There are so many other cars that are not a problem purchase. So what else you want to know?

I cant read all the above long replies but 1 thing is for sure:
A Brand spanking New generation Civic got its Crank Broke in its 2nd month of running, that car belongs to my brother's friend, who wont drive it over 100 km/hour in any case !
And yes that car was parked at Honda for i dont know a month or so, as they ordered the parts to their mother company in Japan !

aveo offers air bag, abs brakes, in dash 6 cd changer, wooden trim on the interior and we wanted an automatic transmission car and my father doesn't favour buying any used japanese car so that's why i suggested chevy.
