I have a Chevrolet Exclusive LS 800 cc. The engine light switches on which means there is an error and some sensor is not working correctly. I have the idea that its either O2 sensor or MAF. So going back to company again and again where sometimes the check light goes off. Its very frustrating. So I bought OBD 2 Scanner tool that works with bluetooth . I did not know that it has obd1 port. So I ended up wasting money. I then bought a port convertor wire. I connected the scanner. The scanner lights up. The android app detects it but it doesn't recognize the ECU. The car computer is not being detected. I bought OBD 2 because the car is 2004 model. After 1996 all car are suppose to be obd2. Or maybe its only in USA. so I end up wasting money on wire and scanner. Now I need to know two things. Is there a possibility that an elm 327 scanner can scan aldl OBD 1 system. Second where can I get obd1 scanner that is as cheap as obd2 Bluetooth scanner. Otherwise I end up going back to the company for fault checks.
exclusive is OBD1 so donot buy elm327. get obd 1 to usb cable and connect it to laptop. software is easily available on net

not in pakistan order from alibaba or aliexpress. by the way which software u have for obd 1. u can make one yurself if u get obd1 male connector

by the way chevy iacv gone bad in most cases due to water inlet/outlet chocking .check inlets outlets of coolant on throttle body. if yur check engine comes after warm up of engine

If you are in Lahore go to the official Chevrolet workshop. they will scan your car for Rs.500 and you can get original spare parts GM company made. they have higher price so you can buy them from Ahmed Autos. its right across their workshop. Ahmed Autos number 042-36283635Chevrolet Platinum: 042-36364141Chevrolet Platinum has changed their name to Prince Autos. Its a big showroom with workshop on their back side. They are selling Prince Cars Pakistani brand but still giving services for Chevrolet. Look for "Prince Auto care" in front of Gulistan Cinema Mcleod Road
On Google Map look for Chevrolet Platinum Lahore. It will show you that its permanently closed but now is available as Prince Autos.
