chevrolet optra in pakistan=suzuki forenza in the US=Daewoo Lacetti originally=Chevrolet Lacetti in Europe=Holden Viva in Australia=Buick Excelle in China=even Daewoo Nubira III in other regions

really guyz, did u know all of these name branding variations?

do you think it wud sell the same way if it were being sold under the daewoo or suzuki name?

i know and have seen daewo nubira in Norway. its the same optra in Pakistan as here in Norway chevy matiz=chevy joy in Pakistan, the only diiference between mataz and joy is, matiz is sold as 800cc with front seat heaters and no cng in Norway.

Yes, it is one of the best sellers in China (Buick excelle). 85000 units sold from Jan to Jun 2006. All in only 4 colours that are black, white, silver and blue.

GM owns Daewoo and has Suzuki as global partner. In Jap Suzuki takes care of Chevy sales and after sales. I guess stake in suzuki has been disposed off by GM. Not sure.

it was known as daewoo Nubira and now Chevy Nubira in Germany.i havnt hear abt this news wht Salar bhai gae dat renault is goin to buy GM but here in Germany Renault is a seller of Nissan for sure

and Ford is for Mazda

and Mistu is for Suzuki

Mitsubishi is the main technology provider to Daimler/Benz to produce Engines.... if someone says Merc got Mitsu engine, it ain't wrong..... I think.....
