There is not much to discuss, when talking about conventional 70cc motorcycles either its Atlas Honda CD70 or Chinese 70cc's. But one thing is an true fact that its the most used motorcycle in Pakistan many people buy these for their daily use and actually buyer does not care much about changes or hope also he is just happy with the brand new motorcycle he buys. When chinese motorcycles were not available in market not many people could buy brand new CD70 but with the introduction of chinese 70cc in market round about 12-13 years ago many people who could not afford motorcycle can easily get an 70cc motorcycle for them quite comfortably its the reason today we see almost every one own an motorcycle and can fulfill his wish of brand new motorcycle in cheaper price.
Chinese 70cc's are actually replica copies of Atlas Honda CD70, so the quality difference is definitely there obviously you get better quality motorcycle with better parts installed when you get CD70 but there is difference in price as well and its main thing for the sales of chinese 70cc bigger the difference in price higher the chinese 70cc get sold. when first they came in market it was very good difference in price which lead to great sales of chinese 70cc's but these days there is difference in price but still with the great fan following of CD70,quality and reduction in its price from Atlas Honda CD70 is really enjoying huge sales and chinese motorcycles costing these days 44-45k while CD70 is at 63,500. So definitely in 70cc motorcycles CD70 is on its glory sales.
But at the same time chinese manufactures are also in market and they still have their own fans following yes they have shorten but still they sale in good numbers specially brands like United,Unique,Super Power,Union Star,High speed And Road Prince Etc.....
Today i am going talk about recently launched new model of Super Power 70. I saw it in showroom liked that SP has tried to do some change instead of just conventional little bit change like chinese manufactures do this time they have routine change but with good work specially appreciate the new design of headlight & meter which adds some freshness to SP70 along with that new double side flashers and new tail light also the good feature like there is USB port in meter & side stand alarm minor etc... Now these changes does make SP70 a bit different from others also keeping the bike same simple shape. i think these local motorcycle manufactures must give stress on final inspection even i see negligence on Atlas Honda side as well but if local makers appoints an guy who can apply grease and oil on required parts and assure proper installation of parts & alignment. It can increase confidence of people its common brand new chinese 70cc bike makes annoying chee chee noises stiff throttle etc.. which are not serious issues but just negligence in manufacturing so good local chinese 70cc maker should take notice of it.
Chinese 70cc have little bit powerful engine as compare to CD70 which gives better power,acceleration & top speed and this thing really pleases owner its an advantage but i believe chinese makers now have to think of doing some thing more to attract customers keeping the price difference good they need to do some changes to attract buyers i appreciate what Super Power has done but i think an good quality self starter must be included in every chinese 70cc and SP designed new meter but should have included features like gear position trip meter also in meter and i have seen common problem with chinese 70cc their seat foam quality is not of good quality so of other parts loosing quality if chinese makers have to survive in future an good quality motorcycle with features can save them in future as if Atlas Honda decides to further cut down price of CD70 it could seriously further hit sales of chinese 70cc motorcycles and some chinese 70cc local manufactures might end up closing plant
