design wise its no doubt obsolete but still highly praised out there... some details which i found are:

• completely hand made
• self developed by the First Automobile Works (FAW)
• 6.4 meters long, 2.05 meters wide and 1.72 meters high
• Chinese features reflected in the design, the radiator grille is in the shape of a Chinese folding fan, and the taillight is like an ancient palace lantern
• bullet-proof technology
• V12 engine, with its cylinders at a 60° which helps boost out 300Kw of power and a maximum torque of 550Nm
• worlds first car to use twin ECU’s according to Chinese media reports.
• sound proof cabin, outside noise is unable to penetrate the cabin.

For the past couple of decades the Chinese Presidential car has always been a Hong Qi or Red Flag. The design has not changed very much since the launch of the first car (yes engines has seen many changes).
May be a hilarious looking car to many but what I know this thing is made by the Chinese them self (ok fine, it is based on a Russian car) but still it was a self made car...and I am sure Chinese are proud of it.

So, you work for the Chinese, too?. uh-oh:o:P By the way, i'll be dropping on Chery's Indian roadshow that is visiting Chennai this week showcasing their latest models slated for the Indian market, with test drives thrown in for visitors instead of just displays.
