Choice between Toyota Vitz 2013 F, GLI 1.3 VVTI 2013 -2014 and Honda City 1.3 2013-14

Hi Guys,

I am considering buying a new car this week and I need your recommendations on buying one of three cars listed below:

1. Toyota Vitz 2013 F type
2. Toyota Corolla Gli 2013-14
3. Honda City 2013-14

I already own a Gli 2010 and Alhamdulillah its been working fine for me, except for the mileage which in my eyes could be higher than 9 or 10 km/l. Therefore, I am inclining towards buying a vitz, but I have never owned a JDM before so I have no clue what to expect. My Preference is to buy a car which can sustain me for good 5 years or more...

Gli for rough and tough drive, cheap parts and mentainence, good drive, good speed

city for only dashy look, bad suspension, cant go on rough places,

vitz in this case is very expensive, people normally do not prefer these models coz of high priced...

City for mileage but can mainly be used on good roads only. Suspension is hard, no where close to corolla in terms of comfort.

Corolla 1.6 gli add in more look for a automatic corolla if engine cc is not an issue.

About fuel economy all 3 options would give you more or less 9-11 at max 12 with best tuning new engine oil and spark plugs and air filter

Vitz is out of question for me, don't think the car is worth 1.4 million. Now I have narrowed down to city and corolla. Should I go for a brand new city? When is the new model being released?

I am also searching for a less driven GLI (2014 or 2015)

Hi Zaid.. There is no match to JDMs. You will love Vitz. I have tried all these cars. GLi/City and Vitz. Vitz is a charm. If you are serious about buying a Vitz, first u need to understand JDMs. In Pakistan, dealers import R grade JDMs. R means repaired. This is what saves them money. Good grade (4/4.5) are expensive but worth the price. Dealers can't make good money by importing grade 4 and above cars. Have a look at this car

Pak made cars are no match to JDMs but yes, if u r not interested in build quality and reliability, then of course JDMs are not for you. Vitz has overtaken the market merely by its safety features, build quality, reliability, resale value and economy. Options available in Vitz are at present available in Altis Grande 1.8 which is worth 2.4 million. Vitz/Aqua/Prius are the only Super CVT-i cars available in Pakistan. U just need to find a good car..
