Manual transmission gives you the freedom to change gears when you deem fit, hence better fuel average. Of course manual is more responsive as well and since you've been driving one you'll understand. A car responds according to how it's been asked to respond. Same goes for getting fuel average. Your driving style matters ALOT.
I think 11.5-13 kmpl (city driving) is achievable if you drive a R18 Prosmatec nicely. CVT might add around 1-1.5 kmpl. I think the rebirth came with cvt in after the last facelift.
Resale will be a major issue. Even though I drive a manual car and I prefer manual, I might not go for a manual car when I enter the civic league. It just spoils the overall ride pleasure. Majority of people prefer the top of the line variants e.g. prosmatec oriel etc. We tried to sell a 2013 Prosmatec Non-Oriel and it was a nightmare even though the car was genuine and prosmatec.
If you're not getting the car at a price which is reasonably low, you should reconsider.
