City 05 clunking noise when going over bumps

City 05 auto transmission, was giving clunking noise when passing over rough road or metal dividers.

Have had the shock mount replaced. Z links replaced. Chimta (front lower control arm) bushes replaced.
Steering rack serviced and rack ends and ball joints pressed.
Now the clunking has reduced but still comes if a bump is hit slightly hard.
Also another kar kar noise has appeared when turning steering wheel at slow speeds.
Have asked the mechanic about it but he says get oil sprayed under it and it will get quiet.
I am doubting if kar kar noise on turn is due to steering rack repair or pressing done on rack ends or ball joints.
But mechanuc says that its due to shocks needing servicing or dryness which is not convincing.
Should i go for kabuli steering rack and chimtas?

rack guide need adjustment if u feel steering a little bit loose donot open rack just tightened rack guide aka bush u need duct for that go to alighment wala he will do for u also.adjustment procedure is written in city forum go there.
second if kar kar noise come from driver side at stand still also then it cv joint.atleast in my case.
donot open steering rack in any case otherwise these mechanic makes yur drive hell.

I made the mistake of getting steering rack opened. Now i ended up with two noises instead of one and mechanic now doing tal matol.
Steering is working normal not too hard or soft.
The dag dag when turning was not there before the so called rack repair and goli end pressing.
And going over sudden bump feels like a big metal bar jumped in the front end of car.This was there even before but reduced after so called mysterious rack repair.

Can the rack guide looseness make any clunking noise?

I am sure they would have messed up the rack by pressing rack ends and servicing/opening the rack.

Is going for kabuli rack and control arms(chimtas) of any use?
Because i dont feel safe driving with these pressed ball joints idea.
Would a japani steering rack be plug and play in paki city?

did the dug dug sound comes when car is moving on plain smooth road(if available by mistake).
then the center screw of gatri which connect to back foundation is gone use nut and screw for that
rack guide lossing make noise.
yes japaneses fit aria rack (6 connector) will fit in paki 2005 city

Yes the dug dug sound is there even on smooth road and is most loud when turning slowly on house entrance ramp slope.
Its sounds like metal to metal rubbing

If possible please share pic of gadri screw/nut

just ask mechanic that check that screw which goes in back foundation nut

I wanna re-open this thread because my Honda City Idsi 2004 has also the same symptoms.
Replaced the whole control arms, tire rods, shock absorbers and springs but the clunking noise when going thru bumps and potholes did not disappear. No clunking noise on even roads, only when going thru bumps and potholes.
Even checked the 3 engine supports and it is all in good condition.
Mechanic told me that the Rack and Pinion might be busted but I can tell that He is not sure where the clunking noise is coming from and just assume it because we already replaced almost everything.

when rack guide become loose u will experience even force when turning from center to left right.
in normal condition one of either side has slight tension then other. secondly what sound dug dug clunk hard 0r soft. sometimes brake callipper pin also make clunk noise. for jeffery cruz take yur car to wheel aligment dug(so u can get underneath yur car). applied hand brake and quickly release clutch and apply foot brake while u r underneath yur car then its easy to pin point area from where noise is coming
