Agreed, what portion of a second will be taken by a perfect driver to shift the gears? In steermatic its a blink of an eye wont that be an edge along with 50Kg wieght difference. just a thought bro

guys i doubt the prosmatec exi will stand a chance against the steermatic.... i lose by 3 cars whenever i race a steermatic on my city exis.... n i win by the same gap when i race a prosmatec exi! my vote is for the steermatic!

well, theres a reason that im being off of this thread, bcuz wat im gonna say now, most ppl wudnt believe it.although i have video proof of it too, but ppl say its fake etc etc...

a raced on my 1.3l idsi manual against a 1.6l vti prosmatec and a 1.5l exi prosmatec. but it was just upto 60-70km/h.i tried to take a launch very near to an auto, was a roll on start but even then i gave the guy one car gap.both cars belonged to the same guy, extendar@pw, and witness is suzukialtomehran@pw.... heres the link of my idsi vs vti prosmatec.

well, i dont know if much depends on driver in an auto car while racing, only that he shud be giving full throttle.but what i know is that prosmatecs r really really slow.this same guy has a 95 civic manual n he says its faster then his exi auto.also have a video of me vs this guy's exi.but the quality is too bad.but upon request, it can be posted.

yar if a person noes how to race wid an auto tranny then theres nt mch difference left
i raced my 1.8 civic auto with 1.8 civic manual and beleive me the difference was not much. only at launch theres a bit of a gap but when speeds reach high then the car's ALMOST even out.

@ahmad: nice info bro, its good to back up your claim with a video evidence. To my surprise, the iDSI did very well and I am sure you know what steermatic is capable of

Since I have driven VTI Pros 2004 and 2002 model quite a bit the issue is that though the engine is powerfull, still the car is too damn heavy and also the response is sluggish. In steermatic even the CVT response is far better. If you drive both cars one after another belive me you will feel like sitting on a cycle after driving a tank (meaning the obvious difference in weight) but that surely makes VTI very comfortable
