City 2005 Very low mileage

Aoa, I need expert advice for my City Vario 2005 that i bought recently. It was initially giving me 6 km/l so i did tuning from a good mechanic who cleaned throttle body, changed spark plugs, air filter and tappet adjustment. Still now its giving me arround 6-7 km/l with AC. Car engine is sealed and is in good condition and used on petrol throughout.
I have heard alot of people claiming mileage increase after doing all this. Can anyone help me on this issue?

surprisingly, air filter has a bigger impact on fuel consumption than one would thought (at least I thought). I personally experienced a visible difference in my car's fuel average after cleaning the air filter..

I drive within City, Ayesha manzil to Karachi University through sohrab goth and back so route is pretty clear and my rpm remains between 1k to 2.5k and don't accelerate much.

I have also changed air filter but it's local not geniune. Does local air filter reduce mileage even if it is clean.

It would not make such dramatic difference. In actual it should give you 12kmpl in city. You need to have it diagnosed at good workshop.

which oil viscosity youre using? ifs its 20-50, you can kiss good mileage goodbye.

I bought car two weeks ago and seller told me that he just changed oil with Caltex havoline a month ago

Sometimes on cold start when i put car on reverse gear with breaks applied, the car seems to be pushing / jerking to go reverse by force afterwards it becomes normal.
Also i note that when idle with AC on and gear on "N", the rpm goes to 1500 and it comes back to 1000 when i push accelerator and release it back. On gear at "D", the rpm toggles between 500 and 1000 when idle.
Furthermore, there is some lag(delay) when i apply acceleration and car really do so.
i cant understand why its all happening when i have my car tuned.

As the mechanic opened the throttle body, he should have done an ecu reset afterwards. Thats the reason your rpm is not stable. Do an ecu reset and see if that helps

Don't believe the previous owner, verify everything and get your gearbox checked. Varios requires special care, if not given, it gets destroyed

Either do it with hds or disconnect battery for 1 minute

Turn off the car. Press brake a few times to get rid of any electric charge. Then disconnect negative terminal of the battery for 1 minute. Connect the terminal and restart the car. Press gas pedal to keep rpm at around 3k till fans start. Leave the gas pedal and let the car run for atleast 5 mins excluding the time the fan was on.

A simpler solution ia doing it using the scanner. An electrician will attach it to your car and reset the ecu. Shouldnt cost more then 500 rupees.
