City 2007 idsi ABS

Assalam o Alaikum all,

I have been in two minor accidents recently because the brakes will not work when they heat up and cause tires to lock up if applied hard making me realise the importance of ABS. Now, is it possible to get ABS installed in this particular car? Is there anyone who has done this?

my idsi also had wheel locking issue
i always thought its the discs or bad tires
the issue was 100% resolved when i changed to brand new rotors

alteration to brakes of any sort would make the car more un reliable

Brother I bought brand new disks from Honda and they cost me 16,000. I bought them from Honda because my mechanic installed roters from bilal guns and they were already worn out. Plus, there is not much of that braking material on the roters, so getting ones from bilal guns may not work out that well. Brakes are an important part of your car. Don't hesitate on spending money at your brakes specially in Pakistan..

You can the entire braking system from FIT ARIA 2007 and install it in your car, four wheel disk with abs. You can source all the components in bilal gunj

City 2007 didn't come with 4 wheel disk brakes. It has front disk brakes and rear drum brakes.

Should I upgrade the rear brakes to disk brakes or just add ABS to the front tires (mostly they loose traction under hard braking).

I know city doesn't but FIT ARIA does, so if you want its system, you have to get it completely or else it will never be trouble free

Okay. One more thing, which one exactly is the Fit Aria? Can you share a picture. I googled it and city came up. Confused now.

Yes its a city but renamed as Fit Aria in japan I think ...

imo so much alternation to the brakes of the car would make it least reliable
you just need brand new rotors. as you mentioned the discs are new and genuine.

It is a japanese version of the city, its available here too

get original brake pads, they are expensive but you will feel the difference plus they wont put deep scratches on your metal disk plates
