City 2024 vs Yaris 2024

Hi guys,

I have to decide this week between a 2024 City 1.2 and the equivalent Yaris. I am mostly leaning towards the City because I like its appearance more than that of Yaris (both exterior and interior). Features wise they both seem the same roughly, except for a few extra safety features in the Yaris.

However, some family members mentioned the following things recently:
1) A Honda showroom on GT Road Rwp recently shut down, which could potentially mean that Honda is going to leave this region soon due to failing business and so investing in a Honda could be a bad idea.
2) Yaris's exterior is way sturdier than Honda and is less prone to damage when the car is hit.

How valid are these things that I heard? I want to have more opinions on this to confirm whether these points are true; I haven't found evidence about these things on the internet or in reviews.

Both are good common vehicles.

Honda has its own fan following and Toyota has its own fan following too.

Most of the people who drove earlier models of Corolla, majority of them said Yaris doesn’t give the same feeling as like older models. Its compact, small and tidy.

Same goes for city also. Older models were better but new model is just lots of plastic and thin metal.

So both cars has their own plus points & weak points.

If I personally have to choose between these two models, then will opt Toyota

Honda is going nowhere. So don't decide just on one thing that a showroom has shut down in a region.
Honda City is more spacious than Yaris, look wise also better, fuel economy is more or less the same.

Honda comparing yaris.. for sure.. i can tell u some biggest flaws in yaris if u want ..

You're talking about outer width. Inner width and seating space is different thing.

in reality its not spacious YARIS .. i did not drive but i sat in that car i was checking back seats felt that. its not spacious compare to city ..

i sat in city so many times..

although city has own flaws but yaris has too much..personal opinion

Yaris price range is from 4.5 million to 6.3 million

City price range is from 4.65 million to 5.85 million

Which end of the price range are you aiming at? If you are aiming at the upper end of the scale consider Honda BRV. Better than both at 6.3 million

city base varient is 130 cc short of yaris.but after the new yaris pricing, i would say its city all the way!!
