City iDSI - 70k KM, Engine Oil suggestions

So, I have recently bought a Honda City iDSI with a running of 68k KM, and was immediately changed with some oil from ZIC by my mechanic.

I have been thinking about the upcoming oil change, as per the one that I want to use, and am inclined towards liquimoly, or Mobil.

The question is, what rating to use? And which particular brand to use in either liqui moly or Mobil?

Both are equally good and tested. I would go for mobil though. 20 / 50 grade is appropriat in this hot weather.

Honda 10w30 is recommended for your car so it better to follow manufacturing recommendation

That's where the challenge is I am highly inclined towards using a Mos2 variant from liquimoly, however, it's either available in 0W30 or 10W40.

Dont even think about 0W30.

I suggest you FUCHS SynMC 10W40, will suit an L-series engine. It's a great oil and I've been using it since 9 years now. Available at both the Hascol/FUCHS stations on Shahrae Faisal.

A big advantage is that there's no replicas available in the market for this oil, unlike Shell, Caltex, Zic etc.

Please refrain from 20W50 suggestions.

I had made a mistake of using 10W30 in my idsi last year. The average and performance was affected alot as i have always been using 5W30 Shell Helix Hx7 Ultra. I would suggest you the same go ahead with 5W30, you won't be disappointed. Never ever use 20W ever on idsi. My idsi is clocked at 170,000KM and still going super strong MashaAllah.

thanks for your expert opinion about idsi, myself own idsi 06 manuel. i have issue with my city its fuel consumption is extremly low like 9km in city driving with ac on... i need to clean injectors and tunning etc.. could u plss recommend me any good mechanic in johar gulshan area where i can go and do the rest..

your earliest would be highly appreciated..

I would suggest that u replace air filter, fuel filter and if cng than have ur cars throttle body serviced. Spark Plugs be changed to OEM specs. Take out the battery for a night. Remember to remove negative terminal first. And install it next morning before your daily commute. Have it re-learn your daily driving.
Keep the rpm below 3000. And post the results here.
Remember that ur engine should have thermostat valve installed and fan should be automatic.
Change the oil to 5W30 Shell Helix Hx7 Ultra. If its vario than CVTF oil be changed as well.
Before suggesting you any mechanic I would you follow these simple steps. Tyre size should be 14 inches at max for good average.

well let me know tell you my car spec below and what ever i've done so far to ensure top notch but unfortunately didnt succeed in it..

i've changed oil last month ZIC..
spark plugs has been replaced to denso ( mechinic said its also very good for idsi )
its on petrol and manuel since the first day.. also throttle body has been replaced already mnth ago.
i always changed my gear below 3000rpm..

so the thing which mechinic didnt clean was fuel injectors because it was dark at that time so he said come another day to clean them aswell.

my odo shows 138000km done.. totally patrol..
need your opinion now and please also share u hv mentioned about fuel filter changed how much it would be costing me.??

Keep with Zic or Honda oil. Don't do Liqui Moli. Project Farm did a series of tests (Search on YT) and these long-life engine oils don't make much difference in protection. In our environment, better to change engine oil sooner rather than later. Any of the standard Zic, Caltex, Shell should be sufficient. Follow the engine's suggested viscosity though.
