City idsi cng starting problem..plzz help

hi everyone....i need some help..i have a city idsi on cng. the problem is that when i start the car(when on cng) the initial period when its on petrol the car is very shaky...if i press the accelerator the rpm becomes unstable , its like the timing is set for cng while the car is on petrol. after the car converts to cng everything becomes smooth ! ...even when the car is converted to petrol , everything is smooth , the only problem is the transition period , when the car is started.

i want to know if this is normal for every city ...and if there is any solution for this because it often causes the car to stall .....

your advice will be appreciated

no its not normal ... we have idsi converted to cng in feb08 and working fine ..

its look like u have to tuned ur car from a recongnize cng mechanic ..
not looks like an issue to me .. (hopefully)

i see...well the only problem is at the transition period when car is started...and the car has been tuned....so which cng kit do u have ?

tuning kervao ... n get ur airfilter aircleaned after every week ... n oil bhe change kervao ...

done and done....guys its not a tuning problem...the car has always been like that since cng was installed...i think it has something to do with timing advancer...

khayr in my city i have oxygen n emulators ... may be appki gari ki computerized tuning hoti hena ? ... ya nai ? shaid ap manual kerva rehay ho n it requires computrized ? ...

i got the computerized tuning ...bt no man ..it didnt help with the problem..although the acceleration became better..

Well, it's not normal but I had a similar problem recently after driving my idsi for three years on CNG - I had the cng kit cleaned and then I took the car to honda and had the throttle body cleaned and the tapets adjusted.

My car has the spark advancer and the emulator, I'm assuming you have the same. But you mentioned you have this problem ever since you installed the kit.

If this doesn't help you, then I'm pretty sure you have an electronic problem with your advancer and emulator.

well wat i understood from ur post is that, ur amongst the same category of people who think "garri petrol pe start hotti hai kaffi hai ",

well the story is totally different, secondly sch people dunt even keep petrol in the car, due to which the fuel pump ki Motor gets outta service, the second thing causes Grrr on Petrol cud be ur cars Fuel INjectors, Plugs, but ure sying its 100% okay on CNG so, im guesing its the Fuel issue, that cud either be a Faulty Fuel Pump, Choked Fuel Filter or Injectors.

My Dads Baleno had the same issue got it cheked, the problem were the fuel pump, Injectors, and a choked fuel filter, and the fuel tank had rust, in city's case i gues the fuel tank is of Fiber, so Rust no chance.

But every thing shud be checked one by one, from a trusted mechanic.

or maybe its jst the case of minor tuning and the car is fine

well the car runs perfect when it is converted to petrol , so if there was a problem with the pump/tuning it would show while running on petrol and on cng the car runs fine...the only problem is when the car is started (on cng) while it runs on petrol....

and no man i am not tht type of ppl....i usually dont drive on cng , as i have a habit of driving crazy and cng cant provide enough power !

pl.consult to any cng expert becoz,there is a petrol & gas mix up problem due to wrong electrical connection or faulty petrol stop switch.

hmm seems like a wild goose chase...guys i dont wanna go to the mechanic without knowing wat the problem might be ,otherwise u kno how the paki mechanics are..

There seems some problem with map sensor connections. Out of order advancer may also result same. Without advancer car can run smooth on CNG but if ECU is not getting proper signal from advancer or advancer cables are connected inverse then the problem may appear while running on petrol.

Check ur transmission fluid and CNG neutral switch, it looks a little issue not any thing bigger.
