City idsi vs cultus euro 2 vs vitz 3rd generation

Hello.
I am looking forward to my first car. I don't know much about cars but after some research i was able to finalize with the following:

1. Cultus euro 2 (2012+)
2. Citi I-Dsi (after facelift)
3. Vitz (3rd generation (2012+)

My requirements are:

1. Requires little to none mechanical work ( oil, filter change, tyre etc is okay. But 'gaari koi bara kaam na nikalay' very often like engine work or suspension.
2. Fuel average should be 11-12 in city (Islamabad)
3. My daily commute is 15km total only. So i won't be using the car so much.
4. Car comfortability and AC performance matters.
5. Sounds system installing options should be good.

My immidiate range is 10-11 lakhs. And I think i can get very good condition cultus in it with low milage. Idsi will be old and much used but I'm confused because Honda vs Suzuki issues.

Other option is to wait until I can gather enough for vitz and then buy that. Because i have no immidiate need.

Brother considering your scenario, I would sincerely suggest a well-maintained, good condition, EFI Cultus only.

It ticks most of your requirements, and won't disappoint you. IN SHA ALLAH.

Old Sedans, and JDMs may be sincerely avoided.

As it is going to be your first car, start from the hatchback and then upgrade to Sedan (your budget is also an issue), and then locally assembled vehicles only, no JDMs.

what about good condition PKDM WagonR 2014 or 2015 ? I think that it should be better than cultus EFI in fuel average/AC performance

Yes. If you can afford and buy one in good condition, then IMO, it would be better than EFI Cultus.

Fuel efficiency can be comparable to EFI Cultus (will be similar, or slightly less).

AC performance would be better than EFI Cultus.

Regading routine maintenance, its expensive, and spare parts of Wagon R are costlier than EFI Cultus.

Wagon R zyaada ka'am nikalti hai, aur baar baar nikalti hai, due to slightly compromised build quality, I believe.

Wagon R has a relatively newer engine than EFI Cultus; K10B.

I believe, the newer an engine is; the better and refined it is.

agree that body OEM parts of WagonR like side mirrors - head lights etc are expensive than Cultus EFI. but routine maintaince wise like oil change/ air-filter oil-filter prices , i do not think much difference.

It all depends on current condition of both vehicles. which ever you get within your budget (for WagonR, uber-careem driven should be avoided because their drivers mostly do not care and not spent money on maintaince.)

City and Cultus both are good choices however if you get a city in good condition, get that.
Dont get one in normal condition as wo kaam nikale gi

I own cultus and had Steermatic and also used IDSI. I will never ever buy cultus even though I have a pretty maintained car its a big mehran nothing else. The body has no safety for passengers even doors come without side impact bars. The only good thing about efi one is its engine is a bit better. AC is also not tht powerful car got bad insulation and whole car starta to rattle after sometime the design is old so is the gen. Steering is not powered.

Vitz I never owned one but always found its 3 cylinder engine noise inside cabin to be little irritating even though due to ample used and new parts its a better choice than cultus. Easy to maintain.

IDSI a friend owns one gives 15 to 16 on highway and easily 13 to 14 in City. The car is well insulated no noises inside the body is much better and safety wise pretty good. Comes with EPS and powerful AC best in its class IDSi we couldn't keep AC above fan speed 2 no matter how hot it's outside. friend clocked closed to 300k km on his IDSi still going strong. He sold his khayber and wanted to buy some car I suggested IDSi and it's been 6 years he says he hardly been to mechanic other than oil changes or brake service and with khayber he use to speed 1 or 2 days with mechanics every week or so.

Friend sent me this pic what he got in full tank full ac motorway and city drive last week. Cultus ka bhai kareeb mut ana find clean Idsi and enjoy the big car comfort and best economy in its class.

Budget wise I'm ready to go up to more if i can get a very good city Idsi. What range will that be?
Major thing which I'm worried about is that it's my first car and I don't want to spend 20k every month on maintainance. Can anyone please suggest me what the estimate maintenance costs are for day to day maintainance and major issues if there are any sometime in idsi?

Can you please also elaborate for me some things to check in idsi? I heard the Vario had some transmission issues. I would personally prefer a manual although.

Secondly what are your thoughts upon time of purchasing the car? Should I but it during this lockdown or afterwards? Will there be any price difference?

I may be wrong. But car prices will only increase, despite the slight reduction in showroom prices.

Avoid Vario get Manual IDSI. If u need Auto go for Vitz.

Any used car u buy unless ur lucky and found car of some banday ka putar all other used cars will always need 35k to 40k maintenance.

Find a clean around 130k or less driven IDSI. Get Pakwheels inspection done they give comprehensive report in 2500Rs with details of a lot of things if ur not sure about cars condition. See pic of my previous city you will need 1100 to 1200k for car like this. In Punjab Islamabad.

Vario was automatic CVT. Due to 1.3 its sluggish and also tht CVT also got few issues.
